I popped in with my family for a quick lunch. There was a lunch menu on the table with mainly light bites, such as jacket spuds and sandwiches. I thought that was it, but on asking they had a full menu and a specials board. Service was friendly and prompt.
I had the home made beef chilli with rice - spicy, but not too hot. The rice was perfectly cooked and the chilli was juicy, not thick and stodgy like some pub chillis. My wife and daughter had the Foghorn Leghorn BBQ chicken with cheese and bacon (aka Hunters chicken) with chips - enjoyed by all. Portion sizes are large, so be warned.
If you have been before, it was a Thai themed restaurant. It has new management (March 2014) and has been refurbished focusing on pub grub.
Not far from the Morrisons Superstore, so easy to pop in for lunch or dinner after a long shop.
Nice pub just for a quiet drink.
