Just returned home after a short break in Vincennes, staying at the Royal Regency. My wife and I had been before, but this time took our family including two grandchildren aged 5 and 16, and hoped they would enjoy the Terminus as much as we had done. We were not disappointed, the waiter was brilliant attending to everyone, especially our grandson who has a serious food allergy. There was something on the menu for everyone, including a choosy 16 year old young woman. The menu of the day was especially good value at 16 euros. There is nothing special about the cuisine, its straightforward French home cooking, but good value.
The two things which add to the attraction are, its proximity to the Metro Station, and Happy Hour (which lasts for about 5 hours!). After a day sightseeing in Paris, or riding the rollercoasters at Disneyland, everyone looked forward to cocktails or a beer at the Terminus. It is a busy place frequented mainly by locals, but with a great welcome for tourists, especially if you try and speak some French first.

We stayed in Vincennes and one day we came back for dinner and decided to try Terminus Chateau because it was right next to the Metro and we were tired.
Good meal, decent wine...and the price was extremely good. Don't expect anything special...but French fast-casual dining is wa-a-y above American.

Spent a week in Paris staying just outside in Vincennes. If you've not visited its a really nice place to visit. This place is right by the Metro station entrance, overlooking the Chateau and Park. Decent menu, well prepared food and prices, which for Paris, are reasonable. Waiters here have a sense of humour and it's well frequented by the locals, usually a decent gauge of the service and cuisine. Three course, Plat de la Jour, is about 16 euros, duck and steaks included in the menu. Certainly will go back next time we visit.

Their Saturday fixed price menu was utterly classic and banal: tomato and mozzarella salad, andouillette and potato gratin, fruit tart. What made the experience stand out was the quality of the products -- everything was good and tasty. Real olive oil on the salad, yummy andouillette (tripe suasage, please don't gross out, it is GOOD) and sauce, rich tasting desert. Many, many Parisian restaurants serve menus like this, but to often the food is compromised -- industrial products shipped from outside and reheated is the new normal, alas, in most "daily" places. In this restaurant, the food tastes real, the way it used to when I was a student in Paris in the 1960's, so bravo.

Décor is slightly tired Art Deco, this restaurant right at the exit of the number 1 metro line, last stop (Chateau de Vincennes) has clearly been doing food service for a long time. Total bill (I did not buy a drink) was 16 euros for 3 courses, a very fair value. If you make a trip to this edge of Paris you will also see an impressive medieval castle across the street.
