I read her good reviews and when i was at Borobudur we went looking for this highly recommended place. Said we will try once...but we ended up coming once a day for 3 days! A cosy place, though can do with more fans, Maya, the owner is so friendly. She cooks the food herself. We wanted to eat vegetarian food ...she cooked such tasty dishes! Simply glorious! The next day, when we came back, we just asked her to cook anything vegetarian for us. It was so yummy so we came back the last day we were there as well. Her Suroloyo Coffee from the hills of Borobudur was the best coffe one can find in Borobudur.

Maya's place is the best cafe in Borobudur. Not just conveniently located, she has coffee from all over Indonesia including some rare local varieties and tasty healthy food with fresh made juice that is a break from local eateries. Whether you are alone or with friends/family, you will feel at home here. Simple, super clean, tidy and swept free from the dusty roads, this hangout is a great place to relax and reflect on your visit to Borobudur. I will definitely be back for more!

After being in Borobudur temple we were looking for a nice place to rest and eat. We couldn't choose, because day before we were in Manohara restaurant and we wanted a different experience, something more cozy, less "chic" or "refined". Paksi Coffee is runed by Maya, the most kind and fun and friendly person we met in Java. The place is as I would imagine a GOOD coffee place in Indonesia. Excellent interior design, very classy, very cozy and comfortable. The coffee is REAL indonesian coffee, the best i had in the country. Maya has a selection of different gourmet Indonesian coffees, they are aromatic, strong and delicious. She's an amazing cook too, very simple but delicious food, as in home. If you are in Borobudur it's an obligation to go there, and if you are not, you should consider going only to have a nice coffee there.

We found Paksi Coffee House through TripAdvisor.

Even though our expectation was slightly on the high since we had read many positive reviews prior to our visit, we were still amazed with the hospitality and experience. The cafe is very well kept, clean and has a homely and pleasant atmosphere.

What is unique about Paksi is the lively and charming owner Maya. She is very warm, friendly, professional and helpful with information about the local scenes. She also served up the best hot chocolate I've had in a while, while my wife enjoyed the unique herbal coffee. My son enjoyed his fried noodles as well.

But what was truly memorable for us was Maya's hospitality, genuineness and willingness to share with us her people's culture and traditions.

We also liked the ambiance and homely feeling of this cafe.

A perfect way to escape the touristy side of magnificent Borobodor. Super friendly vibe and a great range of coffees with the owner happy to share her enthusiasm and knowledge. Prices are also very reasonable. Very clean, very nice decor.
