We found Paksi Coffee House through TripAdvisor.

Even though our expectation was slightly on the high since we had read many positive reviews prior to our visit, we were still amazed with the hospitality and experience. The cafe is very well kept, clean and has a homely and pleasant atmosphere.

What is unique about Paksi is the lively and charming owner Maya. She is very warm, friendly, professional and helpful with information about the local scenes. She also served up the best hot chocolate I've had in a while, while my wife enjoyed the unique herbal coffee. My son enjoyed his fried noodles as well.

But what was truly memorable for us was Maya's hospitality, genuineness and willingness to share with us her people's culture and traditions.

We also liked the ambiance and homely feeling of this cafe.

A perfect way to escape the touristy side of magnificent Borobodor. Super friendly vibe and a great range of coffees with the owner happy to share her enthusiasm and knowledge. Prices are also very reasonable. Very clean, very nice decor.

What a great Coffee shop/ restaurant, I'm so glad i went in the owner was really friendly and made us feel we were guests rather than customers. The food was simple but very very tasty Indonesian fare but done with style. The drinks were superb with a choice of either local coffee's or fruit juices. Please go and and give this place a try.

I love their Javanese food (looks good and tastes good), great blended drink made with fresh fruit and great coffee, and I love its environment too - well-decorated, clean and tidy, and cosy. The owner, Maya is a friendly lady with big smile. Do pay Maya a visit if you are planning to visit Borobudur!

The coffee is excellent, as is the food and the decor. Maya, the owner, is very helpful, friendly and chatty. If you are in Borobudur overnight it is one of the few places to go for a cold beer. It's not yet only the Lonely Planet map though. When you come out of the temple, head down the road towards Rajasa Homestay and you will see it on your left hand side
