This hotel is situated at a very nice location on the slopes of mount Sumbing near a hamlet called Bandegon. It is however difficult to find, especially because the map on the hotel's website is not fully correct. For those of you with GPS in the smartphone or Ipad these are the coordinates: S 07-27'-14" E 110-09'-24" situated on the road from Magelang to Kalegen. The hotel is build in Indonesian style and has no airconditioning, it turned out not to be a real problem in this time of the year (october) as the elevation is about 400m or 1200ft and it cooled off quite well during the night. I have my doubts though for warmer times. There was a fan in our room and that helped also. Because of the building style the rooms are not fully sealed off for insects and so, it is better to keep the doors and windows closed. The bed has a netting (klamboe) which can be installed around it when you go to sleep. The rooms are in nice Indonesian style with a veranda for relaxing. At our visit the pool looked clean, we did not use it. The bathroom is comfortable and everything worked well but do not be annoyed so see an insect or two, it must be said that the staff did a real effort to keep them out. We took the car with driver for a day for IDR 600.000 ($60) plus gas ($9) and in view that it came with a good and safe driver in a roomy car plus an english speaking helper, I found the price acceptable.More
