“Wiedy is Great and Endi is Excellent!!!!”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

When I started planning a trip to cover Sumatra, Java and Bali in one week, I knew it was an impossible task, but then I came across Wiedy and he worked with me to make the dream trip possible. We flew from USA to Singapore to Medan, and visited the Lake Toba and Samosir Island, then flew to Jogya and at that point we met Wiedy and Endi (Our Driver plus guide), Wiedy even treated us for a nice Indian Dinner. And then we left with Endi for Borabadur Temple, Prambanan Temple, Mount Bromo, Mount Ijen, the sulpher lake, and then a ferry to Bali.
Endi on the way stopped at his cousins house who treated us very nicely with mangoes, guava and tea and also gave some snacks to eat on the way.
In Bali we visited the oldest Hindu Temple Baisakhi, which is fabulous. And then finaly Endi dropped us at the airport, and me and my wife literally had tears in our eyes leaving Endi, as he is one of the sweetest person we have had as a driver and guide. He took real good care of my wife and me during our time togather. He is an Excellent Driver and human being. Will never get angry or agitated and will always be smiling and ready to meet your requests and demands.
So I highly recommend Borobudur tours and travel and always ask for Endi as a driver and tour guide, you will get your moneys worth. We always used to teas him while he was driving by saying Endi Hati-Hati.
God Bless Me Wiedy and Endi, and hope they succeed in life.

“A magnificent temple - easier to reach with Police escort”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

We booked the tour to Borobudur while on a Seabourn Cruise from Singapore to Bali.
We had to do it in one day and wished we could have followed the advice in the tour books to go early to avoid both the midday heat and crowds. You have to climb up about ten levels to reach the top. There are so many impressive carvings along the way that make the climb in scorching midday heat and humidity more tolerable.

This is the most impressive sight in Java.

We fascinated to learn that the temple is almost exactly in the centre of Java and wondered how anyone could have figured out that location so long ago without divine guidance.

Our ship arranged for 7 large tours buses complete with a Police escort to ensure we could make the best of notoriously dense traffic. This was the most popular tour on our cruise. Chasing behind a speeding Police Car in a huge tours bus is a lot more fun that being chased by one.

“Great guide!”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

I contacted Wiedy Antara after checking out all the good reviews of him. On the day of our arrival, his employee, Mr Budi picked us up at the cruise port in Semarang and send us to Borobudur in a private MPV. Budi is a humorous guide and he really knows Borobudur very well as he lives a stone's throw away from the temple! He also know all the best spots to take great pictures. My family thoroughly enjoyed this trip!

“At Ease with Wiedy”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

We contacted Wiedy due to the reviews we came across on Tripadvisor. And when we met him, we were at ease.

He was prompt in his reply and we manage to book a tour with him for the very next afternoon.
He was forthcoming and shared his views for not suggesting the sunset or a visit to Merapi simply because the weather was cloudy. We felt that others guide would just take us to make a quick buck and whether we saw/enjoyed the view was a separate issue.

We went and returned. safe.

Payment was made at the end of the trip. No additional charges as to what was agreed upon.

“Perfectly organized”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

We spent 3 days on this trip (22 - 24 October 2013) and could not imagine to be organized in better way. From picking up at the airport at Yogyakarta to drop off at the same airport after trip. Our driver was extremely experienced, always on time. In Borobudur and Prambanan we had special guides, taking us back in time, when these temples were constructed. We came back knowing another part of worlds history.
Hotel Phoenix in Yogyakarta was really 5 star with outstanding service.
I have to admit, that Wiedy Antara must be very talented man, if he can organize trips this way.
Highly recommended. Thank you Wiedy!!!
