We first discovered Restaurante Classica Gourmet in April this year, shortly after it opened, and were delighted with our first meal there. At that time before the Spanish VAT increase their 'Menu del dia' was 11.95 euros including vat, but now they have changed it to 11.50 euros plus vat which works out at a little more. The restaurant is clean and bright with a lovely terrace where we sat out with friends and family in the summer.
There is a good choice of starters plus the specials of the day and I can particularly recommend the crepes with bolognaise sauce which comes in an individual terracota dish, straight from the oven baked into melted cheese.....Delicious!
One of the special things about this restaurant are the tapas which they bring out before the first course. Tasty delicacies like hot tempura, and plates of cheese with dip in sauce. There are also a good selection of main courses including steak, fish and chicken and desserts of the day are listed verbally to you by the waiter/waitress after everyone has finished their main course.
A half bottle of a decent wine or water is included in the price as is coffee to finish, which is not normally included in Spanish restaurants. The service is pleasant and cheerful and many of our friends have now made it their favourite restaurant too. They have the space to cater for group bookings and we recently took 30 people there who were all delighted with their meal.
