We live in Albir and this is one of our favourite restaurants. The staff are very attentive (and amusing) and the food is excellent and reasonably priced.

Sad experience. The staff seem nice. We got immediately sick after having the Cesar salad for starter and a meat dish with ruccula salad with parmesan for main dish. My wife had a different salad and a pasta dish for main course, but she tasted all my food as well. The main course I had a good meat, but I suspect the Cesar salad for being the one to blame.

When the dressing is bad is that also often a sign of that the hygiene is not good at that place. I still feel sick thinking of how badly I had to throw up. It was really frighting becouse my stomach suddenly just blew up and I felt this very bad taste in my mouth. I think I was throwing up less than 45 min from I eat the food. Lesson learned. Stay away from cold starters with heavy dressing in places where you suspect the hygiene to be bad

This is a cosy yet lively Italian restaurant in a street parallel to and one block behind the beach. On our first visit we chose from their fabulous 11Euro menu. How they make money from this is a mystery, the choice and quality is first class.Maybe the profit comes from the extras, more drinks, coffees, etc,or like us,return visitors eating a la carte?! From the set menu on our first visit I had a tuna salad, which was ok,not great,my partner loved his minestrone. My main course was a nice slice of salmon in a salsa verde,my partner's spaghetti bolognese were served piccante,as requested. It was followeds by a very yummy tiramisu. The house wine (included with the deal meal) was a very drinkable tempranillo.Water and coffee were extra,we paid a total of 30Euros incl tip.
Due to the availability of vegetarian choices(for my partner) we visited twice more. From the a la carte menu I had vitello saltimbocca,an odd,but tasty variation of the saltimbocca romana, which was served with veg and roast potatoes. We couldn't resists the tiramisu (again),and with a very decent Chianti, water, espresso for me and cafe y cognac for him we paid 42Euros. On our last visit I had lovely, spicy Peri Peri Gambas, then shared a veggie pizza and a carafe of red wine with my partner, all for just 20Euros. On each occasion the the food was great, the service was fab,the waiters are all a great, cheerful lot, ready to joke with you,and very efficient. In Albir you can't beat this place
