The accommodation is flexible and comfortable. We stayed in a party of 2 adults and 10 children and the lodge accommodated us very well. The rooms were spacious, clean and lovely. The 5 course dinners were delicious and the lodge is well placed in Karatu for safaris to Ngorogoro, Tarangire and Manyara. Asante sana!

Wasn't expecting to stay at this fabulous lodge. We were slated for another hotel but our safari guide took us here, stating this was better. We stayed two nights and couldn't have been more impressed. Beautiful lounge run by the owners. We were treated to a BBQ one night and had a meal I still talk about, the goat was amazing. I definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area. The lodging itself was very private and accommodating.

We spent an excellent night at Octagon Lodge between visiting Lake Manyara and Serengetti. The lodge is in a quiet setting with beautiful gardens, the bar and resturant are great for relaxing in, and the staff were incredibly friendly and wanted to do all they could to ensure we had a good stay. The food was excellent, with a huge choice at the evening buffet and then a fantastic breakfast. We'd really recommend staying at this lovely lodge.

Stayed for 1 night and that was long enough! The accommodation was clean and comfortable, but the dodgy bamboo-like cladding on the walls and floor made you wonder what could be hiding behind it! Having said that, the bar area was fantastic with a log fire burning away. The food was ok but a slow service.

Very nice lodge with nice and clean huts. Friendly staff, which welcomed us with hot wet towels and fresh juice. Great food, especially the breakfast. Big Irish bar where you can get cold beers and drinks.
The lodge had just changed owner from the original owner from Ireland. We did not have any complications around this.

What we witnessed most about this lodge is that there is a new management team taking over and subsequently they are inexperienced and somewhat slow. When we came to the hotel we had to wait about an half an hour because the manager was trying to find room keys.
One plus point about the hotel is that the gardens in the hotel were absolutely charming. Also, the Pub was beautifully done.
The food was tasty but was not enough. We had a group of 11 and half the people didn't have anything to eat at dinner time because the buffet ran out of food. Also, One morning we were offered sausages for breakfast and they were spoiled.
The rooms were nicely decorated but I have to say the washroom should be sufficiently separated because one do need privacy in the washroom and its pretty hard to get with the lodge room design.
Also I do not recommend people to do laundry in this hotel because we lost few clothing items. We tried to contact the management but no luck so far. I hope the management learns and improves in future.
