I went on a class 3 rafting trip with river people in june 2014. I was in Tim's boat and he was the best. A few people in another boat fell out while we were in the rapids and all of the surrounding guides reacted very quickly and calmly and we were able to pull the 'swimmers' out of the water and into our boat. Super fun and safe. Everyone was friendly. Amazing service and the food was delicious!

These guys were awesome. They lead you down different difficulty whitewater and make it fun and enjoyable for everyone. They lead an exciting (though often nerve-wrecking) jungle tour. But there is a lunch break midday, with food and chocolate cake for dessert. Note to the wise: lock up all your valuables at their office in Tena. If they don't get lost, they will get waterlogged. If you wear glasses, specifically request a helmet that fits when wearing glasses, otherwise you will be blind and out of luck. Also, the river is stronger than the velcro on your swimsuit pockets. Lock everything you would keep in there up. Other than that, though, it is loads of fun. Would recommend it to anyone!

We have planned over 7 rafting trips with River People and it is always fantastic. The Guides and the teams of people are fabulous and make you feel welcome. They are very knowledgeable and safe. We lived in Ecuador for 5 years and every time relatives or friends came down, we would take trips with River People. Can't find a better company for a true experience.
