Our group of ten enjoyed the breakfasts and prepared take-lunches for ten days in Tena, Napo Province, in eastern Ecuador. Most rooms have air conditioning, two-bunk beds and a queen-sized bed, and bathrooms in them, and some have balconies. The linens are attractive and changed frequently. The hotel staff was exceptional and the owners, very hospitable.
The neighborhood is quiet yet only a few blocks from the central plaza where there were activities nearly every evening which include live music, volley ball and fireworks. All was quiet by 10:00 p.m. It was lovely to see the local people outside on the streets. There are many restaurants within a short walking distance of Casa del Abuelo, and I felt perfectly safe walking to them.More
