We had a 3 night stay at this agriturismo at the beginning of April, the accommodation and the was really clean, warm, well equipped and homely - I could imagine the kitchen when the building was originally a farmhouse being at the heart of the farm, and was only sorry that we weren't staying longer so that I could stock up on the lovely local food products ( including pasta and olive oil from the farm itself) and have a good cooking session.
It was interesting to talk to Vilmo, the owner about the local area, and how things work on the farm - we've stayed at other agriturismos but the welcome we received here was the best we've had.
The apartment couldn't be better situated as it is really close to the road which takes you to the lovely village of Monticchiello, or the impressive hilltop town of Pienza and numerous other sites of interest and villages in the Val D'Orcia. We found some good walks right from the doorstep of the apartment, though on a warm summer's day I would imagine all you need is sit on the balcony enjoying the spectacular views or under an olive tree outside listening to the bees and let all your cares drift away.!
Definitely worth a visitMore
