We enjoyed breakfast at Les Délices de Joséphine twice during our short visit to Saint Pierre. They have fresh baked pastries, yummy quiches and great coffees. They have a nice and simple breakfast option/special that was great for a lazy morning: croissant, 1/3 of a baguette with butter and jams and a cappuccino (or coffee or latte). Very tasty and freshly baked. A nice very nice place with great service.

My first visit was just to take a break and have a hot chocolate. I was so impressed with the service that I returned on two occasions for lunch. I had sandwiches on both occasions followed by coffee and desert. Both excellent. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting St Pierre.

Our 2,000 passenger ship dropped anchor in this slightly larger town off the coast of Newfoundland. Highly touted as a touch of France in the North Atlantic, we were looking forward to some French food and hospitality.
By the time our tenders brought us ashore, most of the nicer restaurants had closed for the afternoon...in typical French fashion. To heck with the people invading the town with Euros to spend...let’s keep our traditions!
This poor little eatery was about the only place open, and was swamped with cruise passengers sampling their average baguettes. The owners / waiters were very nice, but it really was just a two-hour “fast food” experience.
Saint-Pierre really missed out on some lucrative tourist business.

This was a cruise stop & we went in for a quick bite. They were very busy but they managed to serve everyone. We had croissant with jam and mochachinos. It was absolutely delicious!!

Four of us had lunch here. The crowd was turning over so we grabbed the only table open even though it needed clearing. We waited and waited and waited for the one server to come. She was clearing other tables and then the one next to ours but never ours. We finally dragged her over to take our order. Another couple went to the register to order but were told to return to their table and the server would be over. They ultimately left because they were tired of waiting. Our food finally arrived with a slight mix up in drinks. After we were finished we waited and waited for the eclair we ordered with the rest of the meal. I finally went to the register to get it and pay the bill. The server thought this was a second eclair for our table but realized the mistake. We paid and left before anything else went wrong.
The food was fine, but way more expensive than one would pay in Newfoundland. The service would be enough to make us think twice before returning.
