We visited Ravis on 29th Nov to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. We decided to choose this property as I had to travel back to Bengaluru the next day. However, we later discovered that it was a great decision which resulted in the best anniversary celebration that we had, of the 3 years! The location might be a bit away from the normal crowded tourism spots on the map, but not too far away from the NH and for me that was the whole point. You will find all that's necessary for a peaceful time off the busy world. The excellent backdrop of the Kerala backwaters is so refreshing. Value adds are the many activities that you can do @ Ravis. Checked in at 2 PM and since then we were made felt at home which mainly is due to the warmth of the hospitality right from the bell desk. Our 18 months old daughter made most friends there and that explains it. I have stayed in several hotels in and out of India it had never occurred to me that i can remember the names like i do of Mr Bonson, Aparna, Karthika and Akhil. I should also mention Mr. Sreejith and his housekeeping team who responded proactively and positively for all the adhoc needs that we had. Also the room quality is like it should be. Thankyou chef for the cake which was a surprise for my wife. Thanks a lot guys you made every penny worth it. See you all soon :-)

Dear Raviz team,

I am still thrilled by the amazing venue and service you provided to make my wedding most memorable for my parents, guests, my bride and myself. The hotel is immaculately clean and represents the best of Kerala. The food preparation was fantastic and the waitstaff were top class. The management is patient and collaborative.

Weddings are complicated events with a lot of moving pieces, but Raviz pulled it off for a group of ~60 staying guests in 34 rooms, and ~30 visiting guests from Trivandrum. We staged several events with Raviz:
1) a casual sangeet buffet on their outdoor grounds beside the Lake,
2) a Nair-style wedding in Pergola (looks modelled after a hall in Padmanabhapuram Palace) with an elephant to add to the excitement,
3) A sadhya for about 90+ guests in their Senate Hall
4) a bollywood themed formal dinner reception in Empire Hall, and
5) A full day cruise for about 45 on their remodeled party boat including massages, charicatures, food and games.

I could not have asked for a better event and thank you wholeheartedly for your partnership in everything. I will be back, and I hope this review encourages other couples to consider Raviz as a preferred choice to celebrate a Kerala wedding.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Royal Suite - was spacious and large to entertain guests late night and enjoyed fant...

I stayed at the Raviz for 2 nights to attending a wedding. The check in process was easy and the staff was very friendly. I have a single room with a King bed. The bathroom was clean and immaculate and there's a balcony. Internet is extra and I found to be a bit expensive for India standards ($14/day). The facilities were very well maintained such as the rooftop room for the ceremony, banquet hall and reception room. There's afternoon tea and I went on an evening lake cruise complimentary from the hotel which was relaxing. The food prepared by the hotel was delicious; breakfast was sumptuous and plentiful with both Indian and western options. The afternoon tea was also a welcome break for an afternoon relaxation. They have an edgeless pool and and the view of the Lake Ashtamudi was unbeatable. Definitely a beautiful resort property to visit. The wedding was just perfect and made the experience memorable.

Room Tip: Pick a room facing the lake would be amazing.

The Raviz was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city in every way.

When we arrived we were greeted with a refreshing drink, a smooth check-in and most importantly smiling faces. We were meticulously guided through all the facilities available by a very helpful and friendly reception staff who would the check on us regularly throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. Now that's royal treatment

The rooms are well appointed, with a breathtaking view of the Ashtamudi Lake, that you can spend hours just staring at it from the reading nook they have in front of the window. This was my favorite spot in the room to laze, read and just dream! They provided ironing equipment which was a relief as I am a stickler for well pressed clothes. The bathrooms were very clean and well designed

We celebrated Diwali at the hotel with lighting lamps and firecrackers. The whole staff did an upstanding job of making all the guests who had gathered there, to feel like one big happy family. The special Diwali buffet was quite massive in variety and the quality was of the food was high.

Things to do at Raviz? There's a whole list of activities given to you at check in. They have an infinity pool, a well equipped gym with trainer, house boats,a floating restaurant, miniature golf and many more. The complimentary evening cruise is just beautiful.

I have to stress again, how helpful all the staff were. From the valet to the security, the wait staff to those at the reception, they go out of their way to make your stay special. And that's an invaluable asset for any hotel. Kudos to them!

My husband and I visited the Raviz for a wedding in November 2012. The first impression as we arrived was the stunning open-air lobby, with high ceilings and beautiful views of the water. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, even though we were traveling with a large group. Our room, located in the Convention Center, was spacious and well-furnished. The grounds of the resort are gorgeous, with a large infinity pool as the centerpiece. Lots of activities were offered at no extra cost. The included breakfast was exceptional, with many delicious options served in a large and comfortable dining room. Throughout our stay the staff were uniformly professional and kind.

There were a few small issues that could have been better: 1) The view from our room was obstructed by the roof of the convention center below. 2) We could hear everything (everything!) going on in the next room. 3) The equipment for archery, which was available at a cost of 500 rupees per hour, was not well-maintained. 4) Compared to other places we stayed, the cost of amenities such as wi-fi, room service, and laundry was very high, on par with American business hotels.

All in all, we had a nice stay at the Raviz, and would recommend it for a peaceful, romantic getaway.

Room Tip: The rooms in the Heritage Wing are more convenient and have more character.

Let me take this opportunity to share our wonderful experience with this hotel during our stay last week. We have never experienced such a warm, loving and loyal treatment from any of the hotels we had stayed and we were overwhelmed with the kind of hospitality, service, and everything you people had given to us. Everyone, including security staff at the entrance and backyard were so nice and affectionate that we could feel we were at home. The front office manager leading from the front and setting example to others on how to treat guests with due respects. All were humble, simply excellent and too good to be on the right job. Even the F&B staff who were serving us our complimentary breakfast, were kind enough to go out of their way to make something special for us that was not in the menu. Hats off to the entire team and we felt so nice and touched when we saw all you around us to send us off as though we were your family members. It was indeed good feeling and we will never forget this wonderful experience we enjoyed with you all.
Apart from the hospitality, the hotel itself is fabulous and rich in looking with lots of Wooden materials, pleasing colors, excellent craftsmanship and overall an excellent property. Rooms were so nice, neat and well maintained with modern fittings and amenities. Look at the ambiance with backwaters in front and the lush green around..so nice and beautiful. The free boat house ride and evening snacks were so nice. We love to come back and stay for long in future and will surely refer to all our known friends to come to you for their next plans.

Room Tip: Book any room without any worries, as I don't think they have anything wrong for you. They have...

We found The Raviz welcome warm and friendly followed very quickly by a very relaxed check-in with Felix in our room. The hotel is magnificent - position, decor, restaurant, pool are all fantastic BUT it is the staff that makes The Raviz one of the best hotels you will ever visit. We have just spent 12 nights enjoying all they have to offer : In the fabulous lobby with its' spice boat - Rosemary, Aparna, Sarjini and Karnika will light up your day with their wonderful smiles. The restaurant managed by Mr Ganesh, is run very efficiently by Suraj who is supported by Sujish and a team of waiters too numerous to mention but all very friendly and helpful. Whether you have the buffet or a la carte the standard of food and its' presentation is very high and if you are heard to mention something you would like that is not on offer they will get it in - we had our own supply of butterscotch ice cream organised by Sujish !! Plus if you want to know how to make a particular dish the chefs are quite happy for you to join them in the kitchen as long as you wear a very unattractive hairnet.

We were there for Divali, the fireworks and candles lit everywhere were a magical experience followed by a wonderful buffet with so many cakes and desserts which were beautifully presented.

This was our first trip to India and we loved it so much we are already planning to return to Kerala and The Raviz.
