“Good Hotel”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Recently returned from two weeks holiday here. The hotel itself was really nice - rooms cleaned every day and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Choice of food was good - plenty of fish, chicken, salad, vegetables and fresh bread not to mention plenty of lovely cakes and ice cream for desert. Pool was clean and there were always plenty of sun loungers available. Reception staff were extremely helpful and polite.
The only down side for us (two adults and one teenager) was that the situation of the hotel wasn't great - it was at the top of a steep hill although to be fair, there was a regular shuttle bus running up and down to the beach. You could also take a taxi (for approx 5 euros) along to the old town which was very busy and lively. One disadvantage was that we had to pay everyday for the use of WiFi which we felt should be free in an all inclusive hotel.
The beaches were absolutely beautiful with long stretches of white sand.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

very suprised at a number of reviews, both myself and her indoors have recentley returned and would have to say the hotel is of a very good standard.
We have never been to the island before and i would highly rate the hotel and location.
Food is good.
Rooms are very clean and spacious.
Staff are very friendly with the odd exception.
Location of the hotel is set on a hill and is not 5 minutes from the beach(according to the travel agent staff)if you feel like a walk then try it going down and walk into town, then get a taxi back (about £4).

Room Tip: I asked for a sunny balcony

my friend and I booked this as a last minute holiday and it was very reasonably priced......however we asked for a room that was close to lifts etc as my friend has mobility issues(we were given a room in block 9) this is situated doen 3 flights of stairs over a bridge and dow another 2 flights of stairs. This was a big problem, it was rectified and we ended up in block 1 but only after queuing for over 3 hours and complaining to our hotel rep. Ive also never known a hotel to charge for Wi-Fi and for changing of your beach towels. Food was ok but not the best although there was a wide selection.

We have just returned from 1 week here and can't complain about a thing. The food was brilliant for us !!!! We were a
Large family of 6 adults and 3 ch and EVERYONE was catered for. There was beef ......chicken...lamb chops.....pork off a joint complete with crackling....burgers......salads.......themed evenings ie Mexican / Canadian etc and yes plenty of beautiful white fish they even did purée veg for the 12 month old. Then we had an assortment of sweets......fresh fruit.....yoghurt etc so we did not go hungry at all.The music around the main pool was lively but there is another pool to swim in and a kids pool.AI drinks menu was great too helping yourself to beer wine pop squash and slushes. We did the walk to the beach a couple of times and yes it's a killer in the heat but there is a courtesy bus 3 times in the morning and 3 times late afternoon. We requested 3 rooms next to each other and that's what's we had in block 3 away from the hotel but definitely not a problem in fact we had lovely views. We also celebrated our anniversary and had fruit and champers in all our rooms.Thank you very much to all the staff we had a great holiday x

Where to begin? this hotel is great if you're not british! I have never stayed in a hotel where the staff are so ignorant and rude! on arrival we were give a room in block 2, bearing in mind there are 9 in total, anyway we had to get a taxi to our hotel room it was that far from reception!

rooms were very clean, yet very dated. our room had a broken ceiling which lifted each time door opened and fan hanging loose (we complained and not a thing was done) the walls seem as though they are made from cardboard as every little sound could be heard next door when you are trying to sleep

food was very poor, no taste and not a good choice on offer. if you like fish then great, but if you don't like fish you are stuck with bread rolls and salad leaves. seriously the food during our stay here was not edible at times!!

so the hotel is "all inclusive" well I don't think it is... if you wanted a safe, minigolf, towels, you had to pay!! Wi-Fi also has a charge too which is approx 25 Euro a week per person.

the beer is watered down and the vodka is cheap and nasty. best sticking to diet coke or sprite as this was very nice out the machine.

Jandia has a beautiful beach, however this leads onto my next point... THE HEARTATTACK HILL OF HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! unless you are an athlete SERIOUSLY DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET UP OR DOWN THIS HILL...

there is nothing around this hotel, no restaurants or decent shops, no watersports, nothing.

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, one of the worst 10 days spent on a holiday... NEVER AGAIN!!

hope this helps! I believe that costa caletta is beautiful and a lot more to do :)

Room Tip: ask for a room within the main building if you are brave enough to visit... we had to hike up to our...

For a first holiday abroad and a first holiday with my boyfriend this was an amazing holiday! the hotel was immaculate and the staff were ever so friendly. The food throughout our stay was top notch and there was always plenty to choose from, even for a fussy eater like me, I had no problem in picking something I would like. The room was spotless when we arrived and the maids were great at being quick and efficient when cleaning the rooms whilst you were in it and had no problem with coming back once you'd left the room for the day.

The pools were clean and tidy and even though there was music and activities throughout the day it was easy to relax around the pool. There was easily enough shade to go sit in if it was too hot during the day which we found helpful and there is a bar and snack bar which can be easily accessed throughout the day if your staying round the pool.

We ventured out to the beach and the main strip of shops a few times when we were there, the only issue is the very steep hill so i'd advise to make a day of going to either the beach or the shops and getting a taxi back at the end of your day out for 4 euros from the main shops to the hotel you can't really complain at that and it will also save you the long walk back up the hill with shopping or beach stuff.

The locals were all very friendly and welcoming when walking past shops and especially in the restaurants where the food was also top great value for money and delicious, the only fault with the food we had out of the hotel was the crepes where the waiter poured orange juice over after he had cooked them, save to say we made a swift exit covering our plates with the napkins!

There is a local zoo called the oasis park which is about 30min drive (after all the pick ups) from the hotel you can get a free bus to the park and costs about 25 euros to get in, this is well worth a visit as there is plenty to do and see animal wise and again the food was cheap and delicious in the on site restaurants after you have walked round and had photographs with parrots, sea lions and birds there is a free bus back to the hotels so overall it is great value for money for either family or couple.

Cannot fault this holiday experience at all, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! only other advice is if you are travelling with thomas cook make sure you check in online before you leave as the cues at Fuerteventura airport were horrendously long, luckily for us a fellow holiday maker has asked if we had booked in online before hand and told us we could go to the bag drop/priority check in, which saved a hell of a lot of time and also meant me and my boyfriend had seats together on both flights.

But overall it was an amazing holiday and I would most definitely go back again! :)

We visited the hotel in October 2012, booked last minute and had fairly high expectations. When we arrived (this was 10pm by the time we got to the hotel) the hotel had set out a buffet for the people arriving on our coach as the regular all inclusive had closed by this time, which was extremely appreciated after an awful flight with Thomson!
Our room was extremely clean, well furnished and contemporary. There was adequte space for clothes, a safety deposit, two single beds, two chairs, a dressing table, mini bar, terrarce and a very nice bathroom. The room was cleaned every day to a very high standard.
The food served for breakfast, lunch and dinner was simply lovely, with such a large variety and all obviously fresh. There was extensive amounts of bread (fresh) available with every meal, drinks were self serve so you didn't have to wait; 10/10 for food.
The sun terrarces were large and with ample sunbeds for everyone; although bearing in mind we went in October when it was quieter. Spa facilites were very chique and had a lovely calm atmosphere.
If you left the hotel there was a very steep hill to walk down towards the beach, which was fine in the morning or evening as it was cooler but during the day it wasn't so nice, however, this is not a reflection on the hotel, simply a poor location in that sense. The beach is stunning, stretches of white sand for miles, it is also a nature reserve. If you carry on walking along the beach approx 30 mins you reach the older part of the town where the locals use, this had a nice atmosphere and the reasturants were simply lovely here.

Room Tip: The terraces are not very private, so would recommend a balcony.
