Unfortunately the day we visited it was so windy and the water was really rough. We saw no dolphins but we still enjoyed ourselves. We took some lovely pictures and kept hoping to see some but it was not to be. I'd still recommend visiting even though we didn't see the dolphins. It is a lovely beach with stunning views. I wish we had more time to have been able to come back.

This is a great place, we saw lots of dolphins really close to the shore. We had hoped we might see some, but this exceeded our expectations. Well worth a visit and certainly better than going out in a boat.

I was able to see around 8 dolphins, with 4 coming within 4 metres of the shore line!! Incredible experience. Even seeing one with a huge fish in it's mouth!

Visited Chanonry Point yesterday and spent a couple of hours looking for the Dolphins off the Moray coast - it was a nice sunny day and there were several people along the point Dolphin searching - we were pleased when a Dolphin Pod ( 3 or 4 ) were clearly visible just off shore - nice area but lacks a cafe or little ice cream shop in area.

Had previously read that 1-2 hours following low tide was the optimum time to see the dolphins and sure enough,on two occasions,we walked to The Point and the dolphins duly obliged with an appearance. With a decent camera, one can get some really good photos if the luck is on your side and you're patient.
