“Nice hotel but the noise can be an issue”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

I picked this hotel based on the reviews. It is a quick 15 minute taxi ride at a fixed price of 15 turkish lira each way. We spent just one night here in room 101. All 11 rooms in this hotel have a front row view of the water. There is an infinity pool, bar, floating restaurant (for dinner only), indoor restaurant for breakfast only and places for a few cars to park.

Our room had a nice king bed, flat screen TV (but no reception!), phone, frig, wood flooring, balcony and good a/c. The breakfast we had was unusual in its health content. No fried stuff here! The shower and bathroom was great.

The best part is that normal checkin was at 3pm and our flight got us in at 730am. Luckily the hotel allowed us to checkin at 930. A local market is just a 10 minute walk away and there are a few optional restaurants you can walk to as well.

The only negative comment I would make has to do with the sunbathers who will lay out below the room level and talk for hours. You absolutely cannot avoid hearing their talk if you are using the balcony or have the screen door only shut. We had to keep the balcony door completely closed which was really disappointing. One thing we like is privacy and not to have to listen to others talking loudly day or night. I am not sure what can be done about this since the hotel is small and no matter what level you are on, the sound of conversations can be heard.

That not withstanding, the hotel was a very nice getaway.

Room Tip: Regarding noise, it is from outside sunbathers and probably can be heard from nearly every room. I w...

Sadly we only managed 1 night in this stunning boutique hotel. Our suite was beautifully decorated with a spacious balcony overlooking the creek and pool. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We enjoyed a tasty Turkish light lunch and then evening meal.

If you are looking for piece and quiet & a place to chill in an untouristy area, overlooking water then this hotel is perfect. The area is known for its birdlife. I watched swallows skimming the infinity pool whilst eating a delicious breakfast, saw a stork fly overhead as I relaxed on a sunbed & wading flamingoes as we made our way back to the main road. The evening meals that we had were excellent, the chef & his wife were very friendly inviting us into the kitchen to see the choice of freshly prepared starters & showing us the herb garden by the kitchen.
The modern well appointed rooms were very light, clean & spacious with a generous balcony & as everywhere in the hotel great views, the only thing we missed was a kettle.
We were made very welcome, the sofa area with its books & games was like a home from home. A special thank you to all the staff & owner as nothing was too much trouble. We wish you well.

Room Tip: All 11 rooms have a great view. We choose a standard room on the top floor & were very happy. No...

We debated for some time before only giving this 4 stars. The hotel is beautiful. It is stylishly decorated in blues and whites and the kingfisher theme (name of the hotel in Turkish) is evident throughout. There is a lovely peaceful feel to the place and the rooms are big and stylish with very good sizes balconies. The manager was charming and helpful as were several of the staff.
A hotel like this would cost a lot of money to stay in in Europe so the rates in comparison are reasonable.
The outside areas are again well set out, discreet and offer a range of places to sit and admire the great view. The swimming pool is fantastic also though very cold in April when we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We have given it 4 stars only as breakfast was a bit of a let down. The food was fine but not outstanding with an emphasis on pretty arrangement rather than quality or quantity. We were in Turkey for nearly 3 weeks and this was the worst of the breakfasts even though everywhere else was much cheaper. More important service over breakfast lacked the sharpness and professionalism of the rest of the operation. The young lads who waited spoke little English and food emerged in rather slow and haphazard fashion. We were, for instance, asked how we wanted our eggs...but 25 minutes later still no eggs and they had to be reminded. There was no real offer to replenish the food or drink. We would also have thought that fresh orange juice and home made jams rather than commercial alternatives would have been expected for a hotel of this quality and price.
That said this is a great place and we would stay again.

So nearly perfect!

Room Tip: All seemed excellent

There was nothing about this beautiful place that was out of place. The decor of the room was just perfect. We had the room with the canopy above the bed and it really looked like this. The owners have exquisite taste in decor. The breakfast was divine a gorgeous selection of cheeses, bread, jam, honey, rose jam, with ham and eggs served in matching little dishes on the balcony over looking the estuary.
Don't go here expecting to do much but chill. There are 3 or 4 restaurants and a shop there and thats it, thankfully. The owner even dropped us off to our next destination, we have booked to come back for our last night as it was so perfect. on the way past the lake we saw the last of the flamingos, ahhhh.

Room Tip: I never saw the other rooms but the extra cost for the best rooms are worth it.

Such a lovely place to stay. The hotel was so clean and our room was so spacious. The balcony views are magnificent. There is a sense of elegance at the restaurant. All the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. They were unbelievably helpful with my gluten free meals and accommodated us in every way. Breakfast was lovely too. It was such a pleasure to stay there and we would love to stay again. Hulz+Adz

My partner and I were booked in for one night as we were travelling to Didim Turkey and arrived at Bodrum airport at midnight so decided to sleep over locally and move on the following day.
We could not belive what we had found and decided to stay on another day as this little boutique Hotel is the best place I have ever stayed at in any of my international travels (and I am a Platinium flyer so travel extensively) The manager, staff, cleanliness, amenities, view, comfort and just pure indulgence and elegance are totally undiscovered and I would recomend anyone travelling to this area to spend a few nights here. I will definately be back and would like to spend a few more days next time. I cannot fault anything, amazing, totally should be featured in a magazine.... this little place is waiting to be discovered.
Thaks for an AMAZING stay to manager and ALL staff - you guys deserve a medal!
