Our arrival was under strong crosswind conditions but no problem because of the assistance of Ibrahim and his crew. We were lucky to get the only place available at the jetty and all the others had to use their dinghy. Anyway it's worth to get there to enjoy a very good dinner, tasty Turkish Meze, wild caught shrimps and Köfte etc. Quick and friendly service provided by the same guys who welcomed us at the jetty. Reasonable prices, also for the red wine (Selection Kavaklidere) that was the best we had in Turkey so far.

Read quite a lot of hype about Captain Ibrahim's so was looking forward to a visit.

The good stuff....

We arrived in the daytime and had a warm greeting from the restaurant staff and moored up on the jetty.

The atmosphere of the place is great. It's really buzzy, lots of families having fun. It's a great place and a beautiful setting.

The not so good...

We had dinner, but there are two areas in which you can sit, either on the pontoon or by the restaurant on land. We sat on the land side by the restaurant. There are definitely two levels of service here. The pontoon looked like they were getting very attentive service. We were definitely not. It was some of the worst service we had got in Turkey. They forgot some of the items we ordered , they hardly came round to check if we wanted anything. If you eat here at night, make sure you get a table on the pontoon.

The food was really average. Not bad, but nothing special and it didn't live up to the hype or the good reviews we've read on Trip Adviser

Captain Ibrahim's is a great family restaurant in Cokertme. At first sight the blue white ambiance attracted us very much. Then we have realized the smiling faces and a great positive energy in the restaurant. Sezgin who is the younger grandson of Captain Ibrahim is a perfect guy. He is hardworking, full of energy, polite and helpfull youbg man. You can eat the greatest Cokertme Kebab in this restaurant. You can also try the Turkish starters called "meze" with raki and fried fresh potato with a cold beer. The price is not high and worth for everything you eat.

Been back here 5 times since 2003, that say's a lot! Charter from Bodrum and always include a night here for Excellent food and a fun time. Ali (Ibrahims son) loves to swap sailing shirts with me, take one with you. Good berthing, clean water, help with mooring etc. Even if moored in the west part of the bay, they will pick you up in their courtesy launch. Fair prices, tip well & you might get a bag of fruit given to you in the morning.

We stayed 3 nights at captain Ibrahim's place with our Oceanis 48 with 8 persons because of heavy wind conditions. Clean showers, great restaurant with good food, helpful crew, who come on board and even do the Mooring for you. Perfect swimming, calm nights with heavy winds. Thanks for the great evenings the Raki and dancing - we had a wonderful time! Uli&crew
