We're part way through an amazing week at the resort. Cleanliness and quality of the accommodation is high. The restaurants on site (beach bar and Byblos) are great - ask for MJ, he's fab. The girls on reception are so helpful and friendly whatever you need. The shops on site are fab whether you need supermarket supplies or jewellery and the handbags and t-shirts are good value. Make sure you book a lazy boat trip, fab day out! Well done Turkey you have won us over x

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Apollonium. We arrived to our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom fully equipped Ground Floor Garden Apartment and was very pleased with the set up. Everything was so Modern and clean, we had a pool view and very easy access to our pool from our garden. The kids were wowed right away.

We were very pleased with our apartment.

We was hoping to pay for Half Board dining during our stay, as we did come away to relax and not cook as often as we do at home. Unfortunatly this was not really the done thing in Apollonium. They have a Al La Carte Menu, which means NO BUFFET. The food was very nice and relatively cheap compared to England, but it meant not so much choice and by the end of two weeks we had tried most things on the menu and was slightly bored with the choices.

There are two lovely small resutrqants on the beach just outside Apollonium, Al's Café was very nice, very cheap but quite small portions and the other one a little further along, is set in the most idyllic spot, but the meat was overcooked and not so great.

The pools were great, the waterslide was closed for 2 days but didn't effect us that much as there are many other pools available.

The kids club wasn't great, it is a small hut that has limited space and resources within it. The kids would become very bored quite easily if left there. The lady that run it Tanja was lovely, although she spoke little English. They do not have an activity timetable for the children, they have time slots that the children to come and stay put.

The entertainment team consisted of 4 people. Jo was fantastic with the children, my 10 year old son, really enjoyed spending time with him, but the shows had limited resources and weren't great to be fair.

The Resort has a spa and a gym, the gym isn't great, but ok to do a work out in, the spa was overpriced for the service received.

Apollonium is in the middle of nowhere, this was quite a big down fall for us. The nearest town is a 20 min cab drive away, the cab costs 40TL each way and the bus is 5TL but is very bumpy and I would not recommend. There is not much to do in the town, apart from essential shopping, there is a Kipa and Migros and they are both quite good.

We visited the Aqua Land in Kusadasi when we was there, it was a 2 hour drive to the Water Park and this wasn't good. The water park was nice but very over priced.

We went on a boat trip from Apollonium, which was ok, the food was just ok and the boat was a bit worn. This too was over priced.

Wi fi was very intermittent but done the job.

Over all we did enjoy our stay at Apollonium, but unfortunately we will not be returning.

We have just returned from a 2 week family holiday at this resort, after reading some of the reviews on here before we left I was a bit worried, however I shouldn't have been as we had a great holiday.

We have never stayed at a CLC resort before so have nothing to compare this to, but I didn't find anything to complain about. We had a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment that was fully equipped to self cater and was lovely and clean. It was cleaned every 2 days which was great and we had plenty of pool towels throughout the whole 2 weeks.

We never really had an issue getting a sunbed next to our pool, although there was the usual reserving of sunbeds going on (some were doing it overnight) which I do find annoying, however it was quiet enough that this wasn't a major issue for us. The fact that there were several pools was great as it meant no-where was particularly crowded.

The kids loved the slides which were open for the majority of the holiday, apart from a couple of times where the staff were fixing tiles etc but this was never an issue for us.

We could get wifi from our apartment (Adonis) which was an added bonus but I wouldn't have been bothered if I couldn't get it - to us going on holiday means getting away from it all and chilling out, I don't see the need to have a device stuck to my hand.

We took advice from other reviewers and ate a lot at Ali's bar (simple, tasty, fantastic setting), and the garden restaurant in Akbuk (really friendly staff and tasty food). We also ate at Esinti in Akbuk which was run by an English lady, excellent food and it was extremely popular. We never ate onsite at the resort restaurant as we realised we could get a lot more for our money elsewhere although we did hear that the food was very nice.

We used the supermarkets in Akbuk for essentials as we hired a car, going to both Kippa and Migros. There wasn't much between them in price really, both well stocked and reasonable. We used the resort shop every day for fresh bread and drinks if needed. It was more expensive than Akbuk but still cheaper than the UK because of the great exchange rate. The prices were what I would expect from an onsite shop (I don't think I've ever been to a resort that doesn't inflate its prices, its to be expected!)

The only thing I would change if I could was the beach. It is very small and not great sand for the kids but this is only a tiny little gripe and obviously nothing the resort can do about the environment. Getting into the sea was fine, there were areas that weren't rocky so the children could walk in, or jumping off the pier was lovely.

We had a couple of issues with our safe (couldn't work it to begin with and then the battery ran out) but the staff were really helpful and came to our apartment straight away to sort it out. In fact over the 2 weeks we were there we noticed the staff do a lot to maintain the resort, they are always checking the pools, cutting the gardens, cleaning the pool areas, trimming the trees etc.

Overall this was an excellent holiday and I would recommend it to others.

Room tip: Apartments further from reception have less evening noise.

The villa/apartments are lovely clean and airy we had a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom one the air conditioning is essential to cool off.. We stayed in Ares a short walk to the reception, we opted to spend most of the time at the main pool as we have 2 teenagers, the entertainment team ran pool aerobics and pool volley ball and the pool was lovely big enough... We only had one day where we had a problem getting sun beds but my husband complained at reception and they sent a nice man that helped him locate some in other areas and move them.

We went on 2 trips on the boat .. The lazy boat trip which was great fun sunbathing in deck then jumping in the clear warm sea on 3 different stops and then the second was a trip to Didum market which the children loved all the fake goods and English themes the beach here was rammed and very touristy very different from Apollonium.

The complex is very remote which we liked the reception staff were all very helpful with bus timetables and helping order large water bottle to be delivered to out villa.

We ate out everyday in both restaurants .. The Chinese was really lovely and we had 2 meals at the main restaurant the first a little disappointing as they were so slow with drinks which was frustrating when your hot and thirsty and the food took nearly an hour .... On the second occasion totally different story quick service attentive staff and the food was bought out a lot quicker and was all really lovely. We also went to Ali's bar along the beach very basic but tasty bbq food served with rice salad and chips and very reasonable priced we watched some beautiful sunsets from here and the ice creams are also half the price of the on site shop worth the short walk to buy ice creams during the day.
We also took a few bumpy rides on a small bus into Akbuk to do some food shopping and had several meals there the bus times have been extended to 11pm for pick up so gives you a bit more time when eating out always a friendly driver and got lots of tips off other families for places to eat we tried several along the beach front and they were all good and similar prices costing a family of 4 with wine about £40

They also have a wonderful spa we had a Turkish bath scrub massage and facial lasting about 2 hours on our first morning .. Costing £40 each so cheap for a first class service ,My husband has a bad shoulder so they suggested coming back to see if they could loosen it up Sony the masseur worked for half hour on 3 further sessions and it really helped they also did a further one for free.
The only negative thing I have to say it we didn't stay long enough we thoroughly enjoyed it and out 2 children were never bored ... Really lovely place and people

We traveled here as a family in August knowing this was a quiet area and that suited us.....What a disappointment. I have read some reviews on this resort and one was very accurate. We booked a two bedroom apartment, when we checked in we were pleased that it was right opposite reception, this was good as this is a large resort. The apartment was on the ground floor with a patio area, however with the large balcony overhang from the apartment above it made the apartment very dark and with the dark wood furnishings and kitchen we had to put lights on all the time. The Jacuzzi was not available to use, I guess because CLC was cutting corners with keeping them maintained, there was no food welcome pack which CLC usually supply. The pool area was very clean and welcoming, but there were not enough sunbeds, and there were no cushions on the sunbeds. My main problems was on the beach area, this is a large resort with a children s play area and water slides. However there were not enough sunbeds and it seems that people were putting towels on the sunbeds and then not turning up to them for hours. We have never experienced this at a CLC resort before. There is an area of luxury sunbeds were clients are charged 25tl per day, well how unfair is that when we CLC members pay almost £1,000 per year in maintenance. The sunbed issue needs to be addressed urgently.
There were two restaurants on this resort, one serving Indian and Chinese cuisine which I thought rather odd, we did eat in this restaurant and the food was good although the service was rather slow and the restaurant was empty, we did not eat in the beach bar but did order drinks, I feel the staff need training as their cocktail making needed a lot to be desired!. The shop on the resort is small and expensive for example a magnum ice cream is 7.7tl but outside the resort down the beach the same magnum costs 3.5tl, so beware. We had the CLC rep try to get us to visit the other CLC Turkish resort, she explained how much money had been spent on it and how wonderful it was, well I guess this resort is being neglected for the sake of the other resort just down the road. If you consider going to this resort please do not compare it to the CLC Spain and Tenerife this resort is the poor relation!!
Over all the weather was good, and the local town had some good restaurants but would I return to this resort....no CLC get your act together and remember what you told me at your sales pitch quote 'We like to give our customers the wow factor'.....yer right!

Thank you for your comments as all feedback is important to us. I was sorry to see you were disappointed in the resort as we do set high standards and often receive positive feedback from our guests. We do have an ongoing maintenance programme which has involved the removal of the Jacuzzi’s. In peak season there can be an issue with availability of sun beds but your comments have been noted.
