“Gorgeous Resort - Didn't want to leave!”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

My friends and I stayed at Club la Costa for a week in July and we had the most perfect stay. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs throughout the duration of our stay. The food was delicious and had a huge variety of cuisines, from traditional Turkish kebabs to freshly caught fish. the apartments were clean and provided everything we needed and more. We would highly recommend this resort, it was fantastic from start to finish.

I have just returned from a fantastic 2 week holiday and on reading some the previous reviews of the resort it is not possible that they went to the same resort. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly and often came over to have a chat with us, Akbuk had some great places to eat and is simple a short bus journey away at a cheap price and the boat trips offer the chane to visit a bustling Turkish town which offers some great and fun places to eat. Would definetly advise going to Nigels Bar!The team marina also needs to be mentioned as there was a great variety of activities on offer for people of all abilities and the team marina staff treated you as a friend. Definitely will be returning for future relaxing holidays, which after all, is what holidays are all about!!!

Everything you could possibly need from a washing machine to a bottle opener! The resort is stunning, right by the sea but with several swimming pools if you prefer. Huge white sunbeds under thatched parasols make it feel even more exotic. Very good food, including dinners at the lovely little seafood restaurant where you can watch the fish being cooked as the sun goes down over the ocean. Great spa - best Turkish Bath ever, followed by a massage by the sea in the gentle breeze. Take the Lazy Day boat trip one day - incredible value and is exactly what it says on the tin, with lots of stops for swimming and jumping off the top deck! The resort is far away from the everything - including the crowds - which is why we loved it!

My Family numbering 12 including my wife and myself had two, three bedded apartments in this very beautiful resort. We arrived on the Saturday and the only thing not right was the distance between the apartments. We had asked for ones near each other but they were as far apart as you could get. My wife has MS and we were aware that the apartment's only had bath showers whic were hard for her to use and some could be adapted. The apartments had to have ramps added to gain access but this was done but more had to be added to my sons apartment but again this was done. The site is quiet as mentioned by others but that is what we wanted (apart from my yongest daughter). The people who worked there we met were great especially the animation team who entertained the guests day and night. thanks to Kerry-ann and Ali G. Finally the only other thing is the dining that does need to be looked at. The take away menu was great but eveing buffet needs attention for the price and quality. we will be back at some stage but please CLC look at a few apartments with showers.

Room Tip: we were in Adonis and the pool was grea here. try getting pool side apartment.

Thank you for posting your review and I was very pleased to see that you enjoyed your holiday. Thank you for your kind comments about the staff and the animation team. They do work hard and it is always nice to pass on messages of appreciation. We do try to locate family groups together but sadly we cannot promise this at times when the resort is busy and I do hope you were not too inconvenienced. I am glad we were able to respond quickly to install ramps at your apartments. The resort has been established for some years and was built with full bathrooms and we do make this clear to our guests, but I have noted your comments and we do look forward to welcoming you back.

We have just spent two glorious weeks at the Appollonium spa and beach resort. If you want to experience the turkish scenery and relaxed atmosphere then this is the area. I agree with some of the other reviews, Akbuk may not be the liveliest or glitzy of towns but that added to the enjoyment, If I wanted cheese I would go to blackpool! As for the resort itself it is clean and well maintained. Many of the staff's english is not the best, however they are very helpful and friendly especially Team Marina. Ali, Kerry Ann and the gang entertained both the kids and adults. We hired a car and the journey from Bodrum to the resort was great fun (although my wife may not agree) I downloaded a sat nav for my phone which came in handy.

Excellent quality apartment. Good facilities for the kids including flumes, chess, table tennis.
Great location for beach, quiet but easy to reach more lively places.
More sun-beds needed but some were added during our visit.
Didn't like having to pay for better sunbeds, or at least should have been offered at half the cost.
On-site store could have had a better selection and lower prices.
Restaurant and bar service was slow, it was obvious that the staff were not the owners when comparing to the serice locally. Prices not too bad.
Good restaurants and store within 20 mins on the bus.

The accommodation was small as there were four adults, 2nd room should have been for children, you could not even open the door fully never mind fitting two normal sized single beds. The beds were too hard and rooms were small, my son who is 6ft 5in had great difficulty being cramped onto a 4ft long bed. The main bathroom, shower cubicle was a tad small and if you were 6ft or more it was difficult to stand upright in the bath and shower cubicle. In the second bathroom you needed to be a giant to climb into the bath, I couldn't manage it and there were no bath rails. Housekeeping only came once therefore we did not get any clean towels, after requesting clean towels three times I had to become very assertive, the day before departure. The restaurants were at times chaotic, a little expensive, lack of availability of food, drink orders taking way too long, I felt the service was clumsy. Location was isolated, however there is a local bus for a small fee that runs regularly and will take you into the main town of Akbuk. It is nothing special and not much to do there, slower pace of life with only a few restaurants. There were supermarkets available to purchase food items as shop onsite was limited for choice. Too much marble that is slippery under feet when wet, care needed. The indoor swimming pool wasn't inviting and had no sun beds like as advertised. Plus points overall communal areas within the are well kept, small beach, plenty of swimming pools and sunbeds were always available at our location and in general staff were friendly.
