Dina and Rob at She-Oaks have only recently made their lovely old home into a bed &breakfast. It was built in the 1930s as a homestead for what was a large property, but now much smaller. It doesn't seem to have been renovated at all (luckily) and still retains all the features of the original house, the wood panelling on walls ceilings and dado's, wooden window frames, big spacious living areas.
It is still very much a country property, and some of the rooms are in what would have been the servants "wing" but they are still very comfortable. Some of the rooms open out to their veranda, with views of either the river or the country side. They are all well furnished and very comfortable
She-Oaks seems very much like a "home". There is nothing overly fancy or pretentious about it, and Dina and Rob make you feel very comfortable and relaxed. They both work full time in Beverly which is some kilometres away so we were left to breakfast by ourselves as we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the property.
