The road to get there is the worst part of the experience. Don't give up.
The main house and the small chalets are perched atop of a small hill from where the seemingly endless coconut grove spreads all the way to the blue-green sea. What a view!
The old family home has been charmingly turned into a restaurant and the chalets are located a stone-through down a gentle slope shaded by a magnificent ficus tree.
The chalets are basic but always clean and very cozy. The beds are large and very comfortable. The hammock on the terrace provides for great snoozy afternoons.
We preferred to spend our days down the beach. (They have a small beach bar a couple of km down the road.) What a spot!: It's virtually private, particularly during the week. The sea is gentle and the walk to the small island is lovely. You basically eat, drink the deliciously lethal "caipirinha" and do nothing at all!
Dinner, back up on the hill, is quite and experience!!
The menu is limited and you will be asked in advance what you would like to have but this does not detract from pleasure of having excellent food in this rustic-chic verandah, surrounded by the night and the cool sea breeze. (Understandably, there isn't much of a wine list.)
We loved it.
