Booked for overnight stay before flying out of Bandaranaike Airport early the next morning. Our rooms were upgraded on arrival and were big, very clean and completely free of insect wild life. The staff were professional, welcoming and could not do enough to help us. The whole hotel was spotless and all staff were impeccably dressed and courteous. We had a nice meal in the restaurant overlooking the lovely very pool and garden. The hotel arranged a Hiace to the airport for 3.30am (3000 Sri Lankan rupees).The staff knocked our doors to let us know the transport had arrived for the 25 minute drive. What really gave them the 5star rating is when we arrived at the airport and realized that we had left an iPad in one of the rooms - the hotel staff had gone in to service the room immediately we left and found it and phoned us to let us know. Our driver agreed to return to the hotel to pick up the iPad and bring it straight back to us. They did this in less than 50 minutes and our driver turned up with the hotel manager who handed the iPad over and bade us farewell! What could have been a disaster for us was handled quickly and with exceptional courtesy. They quite simply demonstrated exceptional levels of customer service and we cannot thank them enough!
