“What a lovely day!!”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

We visited the swimming pool for the first time last week on a hot day and i have to say how pleased we were with our visit. The pools and area were very clean. Toilets - the majority were clean but they could of employed a cleaner as i saw the lifeguards going in to pick up bits on the floor in the toilets which was strange. Lots of grassy areas to sit and have a picnic and nice water area with slides and water shooting up from the floor which both my five and 1 year old enjoyed. It cost us £13 for the three of us which i though was really good value and there is no limit on your stay. Shame they don't take cards and extend the £2 off parking to the other car park opposite as their car park only has about 10 spaces so very limited. Didn't have any food there as took are own picnic but cup of tea and coffee £1.20 each so average price. Overall good day out and would visit again if the sun is shining.

“Good for the kids”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

First time i had been and i dont think i would return. We were with a group of friends and children ranging from 5 to 11. The life guards were very good keeping an eye on all children and adults but i didnt like the how open we were to people on the street.

“Gotta Luv A Lido!”
Reviewed August 30, 2011

Warm, outdoor swimming in the UK? Fab!

BEST BITS
Excellent size shallow pool (deepening to approx 90cm) with slide.
Decent 20m (at a guess) length pool.
Small water play area for kids with various spouts, showers, fountains, and a water-based slide.
Great for taking younger children who can swim as the grown-up(s) in charge can safely swim a few lengths and keep an eye on what's going on.
Surrounded by grass and trees (not too near the pool) so very serene. We went in the rain and had a whale of a time.
Slightly cheaper than our bog standard boring pool locally.
Cafe on site and it's also OK to bring your own food. Picnic tables provided.
Plenty of room for sun-bathing (if it's sunny!).
All immaculately clean.
Proper 'out-doorsy' experience - the changing room has a wall and some roofing, but the showers are only enclosed by a wall.

LESS GOOD BITS
There are no lockable lockers, but they will look after your valuables for free.
The car park is teeny, but the charge is refunded. Alternative paid parking not far away though (no refund).
Part of the downside of the outdoorsiness is that you will find that the old ladies (and probably the old men for all I know) will take all their kit off in the communal shower. Very 'naturist'...
