My husband and I have just returned from a one weeks stay at Ferrieha Farmhouse and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone staying on Gozo.
This was our first stay in Gozo as we wanted to experience somewhere new that neither of us had been to before.
Hans and Eva who own the b & b are so friendly, welcoming and very helpful especially when it came to arranging transfers and providing knowledge of the area.
The accomodation is gorgeous and the farmhouse has such a lovely feel to it and is very relaxing in a quiet area.
The pool and garden area is very big and there is everything you need to sunbathe and enjoy the heat of the Gozo sun.
Breakfast was always enjoyable, plenty of fresh meats and cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit, juices and teas and coffees and great conversations.
While we were away it was my husbands birthday so as a surprise I had pre-booked him a full day quad bike tour with "Gozo Pride tours" also based in Qala. It was a fantastic day out exploring all the island and the places of interest, we stopped for a lovely restaurant 3 course lunch (which was included in the cost), I think this is a must if you want a chance to see the sights of Gozo without a car, (we were travelling on a budget so didn't hire a car), great fun for all ages.
We also got a speedboat over to "the blue lagoon", this is a must for snorkellers and swimmers who want to enjoy a warm, clear sea.
We love snorkelling so this was heaven for us, the speedboat was with "joy ride water sports" which you can pick up from Hondoq Bay,(8 euros return each) a short drive from Qala, but get there early, we got our boat at 10a.m and snorkelled when we 1st got there, we are so glad we did as by lunchtime loads of big boats drop people off there and it gets packed full of people and there's not much room and can feel quite claustrophobic.
Nearby to the b & b were cafes and restaurants and a supermarket crammed with everything you could ever need all within a short walking distance.
Beautiful scenery, a lovely relaxing safe feel to the area and friendly locals make it a very appealing holiday destination.
We also stayed for our last night on Malta before flying out the next morning but found Malta not to our taste and too commercial.
We met some lovely people, made great friends and now have memories to last us forever!
Thank you Hans and Eva, you deserve your trip advisor ratings!
