been here many times,on daytrips and overnight stays. have brought family and friends here as well. great customer service, very helpful and accommodating. excellent food, tastes so good like home-cooked meals, and the serving sizes are heaps too.mostly good for 2-3 persons. on daytrips, we usually do the island hopping tours (p400 1hour)and swim in the nearby islands, instead of just staying in the cottages (p500) overnight rooms as cheap as p600 fan room for 2pax. ac family p2200 comes with ref. 15-20mins from jordan wharf by trike, p250 per trip, or p500 for roundtrip fits 5persons. will still be coming back here again and again!

Room Tip: request rooms in a new wing, much nicer and newly furnished!

The beach was nice. But the hotel was awful. We wanted to only stay for 1 night and they will not let us book only 1 room. They even told us to go check-in at the other resort instead (how rude!). Granted there's 8 of us with kids, we undestood. The only room available was Room 1, the family room. The second we walked in, it smelled like sewer and the sheets looked dirty. Since it was the only available room, we had them clean it again, it smelled better afterwards throughout the night, but smelled like sewer again in the morning. Also for some reason, the AC was not cold enough, in fact it was warm. It was about 2am when we discovered it. When we checked out at 6am the next day, we asked for a discount because of the uncomfortable AC but the front desk didn't want to give it to us. In fact, she wanted to charge us extra for the kids. The other front desk staff told us kids were free when we checked in and now they wanted to charge us! I was frustrated. The other issue was that one of the workers checked the AC and confirmed that it was in fact warm yet the front desk didn't want to recognize it. SHe wanted us to notify them at the time (at 2am!) and said that they could've changed the AC. I then ask, "you will change the AC at 2am while everyone is sleeping?" and she said "yes!". Are you seriously out of your mind? Even worse is she was so adamant about that answer and didn't bother to apologize. If they can't give a discount, then fine! But at least admit to your fault, make sure the complain is heard by management, and do something to correct it in the future. That's Customer Service 101!! I was so frustrated by their front desk staff. I will never stay at this resort anymore and will tell all my family as well. The worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Check in at the other resort next door instead.

Room Tip: If you really want to stay here, I suggest staying at one of their newer buildings. I recommend you...

my friend and i arrived in raymen beach resort on june 23 2012. since we have no prior reservations, the cheapest available room assigned to us was pegged at P1600; 2 double beds/good for 4 pax. the next available room then was P2700; way out of our overnight budget. this is an ac room without breakfast..very expensive in our books for 2 pax since we just came from boracay previous day and had a new ac room at P800(separate review for st vincent cottages).

we were assigned at room 4, 3rd floor of old building. one has to take the narrow winding stairs to go up the room. this is not recommended for those with big bags since your bag could get snagged.
upon, arrival at the room, one will notice that it is spacious and has no tv. however upon inspection, it has seen its better days. bath room has stains especially the toilet bowl, which could do some stain removal. only cold shower. with free shampoo and soap. towels given to us were very thin and had some stains. those towels could retire. the bedsheets and cover were not fresh and smelled old(as if it has been stored in a cabinet for soooo long). the ac by the way is new and well functioning. they also have 4 hangers by the way, this room for your use. this room has an eery vibe.

for food one may opt to have their food delivered to the room or dine at the canteen. prices are ok/average. we had sweet and our fish good for 2 at P130; bowl of crab and corn(i think mccormick soup) for P75 and rice at P30.. for breakfast we had tocilog at 90 each. meat was tender and tasted yum..

the area is well maintained and they have newer and much nicer rooms available in 2 oter buildings. the beach front is narrow and clean and beach water is quite clear.. raymen is quite popular among the locals there..

the staff were friendly and accomodating..

when you go to raymen, just ask the personnel to assign you to newer rooms and dont go to room4 pls..

Room Tip: inspect the rooms before committing to getting one and make reservations prior. dont go to room4

In my search for a good resort to stay in Guimaras, Raymen Beach Resort was recommended by most travelers. When we arrived to the resort, they have a guard in front gate and cctv camera, which gave me relief because it means that the whole place is safe with all the security.

We arrived earlier than expected but since we can't checked-in yet but the staff were very friendly that they allowed us to leave our things at the reception area while we go on an island tour (wherein they offered to just bring it inside our room once we're checked-in). The staff were very accommodating and helpful. During our dinner, there was no table available for our group so we just decided to stay in our room until a table becomes available again. The service crew offered to just knock us in our room to inform us that dinner is served.

We got the budget AC room Php 1,600 good for 4 pax. The room was just right for us to stay since we will only be staying for 1 night. Though our room was clean, our room has no TV and no hot/cold shower rather just the basic -- bed and toilet. Our room was a bit rustic and old, it lacks some racks where we can hang our wet clothes to dry or hang our towels while taking a bath in the bathroom. Good thing was that the aircon was functioning well, our room was cozy enough to provide comfort for the night.

The bed linens were clean and neatly done, only that I suggest they should have a thicker blanket. Their blanket is not sufficient enough to keep us warm especially in the middle of our sleep when the room can become very cold.

What I like most in Raymen Beach Resort was their restaurant. They have many food choices to select in their menu which were all reasonably priced. Even if we brought our own food, they didn't charged us of corkage fee. When we brought 1 kilo of ripe mango in our dinner and made it as our dessert. When we asked them to slice the mangoes for us, they didn't charged us anything. Their downfall was that their service can take a while before foods can be served; I suggest that you do pre-order in advance so that it saves you time while they cook your food.

In the afternoon, one can opt to stay in their beachfront to swim and enjoy sunset watching.

Staffs were friendly and courteous, there beach line is very clean as well as the resort. Security is very safe thay have guards roving at night. I find this resort very good and I can recommend it to a friend to stay there.

Raymen Beach Resort is a clean and inviting beach resort. It is perfect for swimming especially for children. They have a fine sand and crystal clear water with a defined boundary limits swimming area. It is about more or less 20 minutes drive from Guisi Point Light House where we visited first. 'Twas past noontime when we arrived and then proceeded to the restaurant.

The restaurant offers variety of sea foods cooked in different Filipino dishes. Indeed, our gastronomical hungerness was fully satisfied after those seafoods we ordered.

The area is clean and they have huts nearby and one billiard table for billard enthusiasts. Air-con rooms are also available for those who would like to stay overnight or longer.

Come visit Raymen, it is a place perfect for swimming and enjoyment especially during summer time.

Room Tip: Look for Gerald to be your tour guide, he is not only friendly and jolly but he can be your driver...

We stayed here last March 14-17, in their family room with TV and hot/cold shower. We had kids with us so we opted to stay here as it's not so out of the way that we can't get out in case there's an emergency. Plus, my kids are pretty easy to amuse, all they needed was the sand which was between pink and mocha and fine :)

The staff were accommodating, our room was clean, there was cable TV... and we really loved the meals we had there. We had pancit bihon and chopsuey twice, just because we really loved them. The taste was less restaurant and more homecooked :) They do take a while to be prepared but we knew that and always ordered an hour or two in advance.

We were there on weekdays so the resort wasn't busy and the beach wasn't cluttered. I think we should have stayed for an extra day just to really frolic on the beach because the water there was already very clean too. And the sand there was better than any ofr the ones we got to visit (like Guisi beach or Baras beach).
