We stayed here early July for one week with the kids aged 14 & 11.
Jet2 launched a new route from Newcastle to Pula so we thought we'd give it a go.
This was our first experience of a "Euro style camp" but we wanted to get the "spoilt kids" away from the all inclusive type holidays they had been on previously.
It was quite pleasant. The campsite was large, had a few swimming pools, although they closed between 1300 and 1500 every day.
Nice snack bars, beach bars and pizzeria. Reasonably priced.(pizza £5, Chips £2, 500ml Beer £2)
Beachfront walk to Fazana nice. Lots of bars, fruit stalls & creperia.
The supermarket was okay, however it closed at 2000 and we arrived just after that. The queues in the morning for fresh bread can be quite long. They sell nice packs of mixed meats for the BBQ's, but they sell out by late afternoon. So at 1600 while everyone is still at the beach, nip up to the supermarket and get stocked up!
The caravan we had was a bit cramped, however it had a nice decking area.
Lots of kids activities on, although our kids complained "there's no other Brit's here"
The bar at night was quite entertaining with loads of "18 year old Euro's" on their first holiday without their parents, giving it "yahoo" on the karaoke, whilst sitting at tables resembling the Munich Oktoberfest!
The beach was nice and the inflatable is amazing. It costs about £4 for half an hour or £5 for an hour. It is fine for kids, but for an adult half an hour is more than enough as you feel like you're taking part in Total Wipeout!
Pula is worth a look. The bus from the Bi Village costs about £2 one way and the buses run approximately once per hour. The timetable is pinned up at the reception.
Internet was hit and miss!
All in all it was a good trip. Just what you'd expect from a "Euro Camp".
From Pula you can get the ferry to Venice (3 hrs) We flew into Pula and home from Venice.
For us it worked well, as we had a relaxing time on the beach, saw the Roman sites at Pula then spent a few days in Venice which is such a unique city!
