The service at this restaurant was really good. Friendly and good English. I had the whole Sea Bass which was excellent. The wife had Kleftiko, a traditional Greek Lamb dish, which she enjoyed also. On the whole a nice friendly restaurant with good honest food .

There are 2 captains table restaurant in Argostoli we ate a late supper at the one called Captains cafe restaurant, 3 Rizospaton just off the main square (not the one on the seafront which sounds awful) We had a great mixed Greek starter plate for 2 which consisted of halloumi, sausage, chicken, fries, tzatziki and saganaki. We also had a big rocket, pinenut and parmesan salad. We thought the food we had here was great, the stand out dishes were the saganaki and the tzatziki. The service was excellent we strolled in really late, gone 11pm and felt under no pressure to hurry up and finish. The waiters here are great, ours took the trouble to explain what dishes were that we weren't familiar with and made a point of telling us we didn't have to rush even though we were the last customers. A great restaurant, obviously the closer to the main square you are they more inflated prices seem to get, but we still thought it was pretty good value for what we had. Only downside with this restaurant is that the road is being dug up and it looks like you are in the middle of a building site.

Visited this restaurant as it had a lovely setting near the harbour. The food was pretty average (we both had pork souvlaki) but the service was very poor. No smiles or basic customer service skills. I went inside to use the bathroom and whilst the facilities were relatively clean the restaurant smelled of stale cigarettes and sick. I wouldn't recommend visiting, however I'm sure many will because without an internet connection to check Tripadvisor this place doesn't appear too bad & whilst we visited had several people eating, including locals - perhaps they are friendly to locals?!
