We stayed in apartment 1, which has three bedrooms and is on the ground floor. All rooms were spotlessly clean and the apartment was well appointed, we lacked for nothing. Paul the owner made us feel very welcome and is always around should you have any problems. The views across the Moray Firth to the Black Isle are fantastic and the Dolphin Bay Suites are ideally placed for Inverness, Nairn and the Whiskey Trail. We would certainly recommend these suites to both families and couples.

Really everyone has said it all about this self catering accommodation. Located right on the edge of the Moray Firth the accommodation is incredibly spacious and beautifully maintained. The owners are friendly and helpful but not overbearing - just what you need. I'm sure they'd be there if we needed anything - but because the place was so good we didn't! And yes we did see dolphins - with binoculars from one of our two balconies and without when we visited Fort George and Chanonry Point. Handy for Inverness and Nairn

Room Tip: We had a first floor apartment which gave good views over the wall, as would the top (2nd) floor. I...

We stayed in unit 8 on the first floor of Dolphin Bay Suites which was recommended as owner Sally's favourite. Unit 8 is on the seaward side of the complex with a small balcony overlooking the bay. The unit had a good sized bedroom, bathroom and separate living dinning area that was quite spacious for the two of us. The apartment was well equipped and remained remarkably warm during the cooler weather we experienced. The wifi performed well. Being a converted old Inn, the apartment had poor hot water pressure to the kitchen (the bathroom was fine) and we felt very self conscious of the potential noise generated by the washing machine/dryer and dishwasher annoying other guests.....however we did use both these several times during our stay

We found the apartment met all our needs for a weeks stay in a location that allowed easy exploring of the Scottish Highlands, and saw no need to spend any time in nearby Inverness. With so many interesting places to visit in the area, a week was not long enough. If you intend to visit the far north or Orkney Island area it is possible to do a very long daytrip from Inverness but I would recommend considering staying at least one or two nights locally as there is a lot of sightseeing to be done and travel times can be greater than expected.

Dolphin Bay villas are in a lovely little village and have great views across the water. The villa was clean, well presented and provisioned and we were surprised how warm it was seeing as though we didn't use the heating.
There is no reception office but the owner met us on arrival and was warm and friendly, providing essential information to us (there was also ample additional info and tourist brochures in the villa).
The wifi was patchy but considering the thickness of the building walls (they are thick!) this was not unexpected and and was easily overcome by sitting near windows or outside. The kids loved the bikes that are available for guest use and the foreshore paths are a perfect place for family walks and rides. We loved our stay here, the only downside being we couldn't stay longer!

We spent 4 lovely nights at Dolphin Bay Suites and would thoroughly recommend it.
The apartment was so comfortable, spotlessly clean, had great views and was a great place to use as a base and do day trips around the area. We did see dolphins, whe we visited For George about 2 miles away. We also found the two hotels in the town very welcoming and friendly and would have a couple of drinks and a chat at one and then go down to the other for a meal each night.(You do need to book for a meal) it is in a great spot to do day trips and we would love to go back and visit again.
Yes the TV ins a bit antiquated, but we could see the highlights of the Olympic games, so everything was fine.
The owners are at the end of a phone if you have issues, we had none.....

I stayed at the apartments for the week of the Scottish Open. An ideal location for getting to/from the course (about 15 mins drive). But also an ideal base if you want to explore the area itself.
The apartments are spotless/bright and well furnished and supplied. The views across the Firth and along the coastline beautiful.

The village itself is small and very peaceful - perfect after a day sightseeing or walking the Course - but a good selection of shops and/or supermarkets etc are easily accessible with a short drive to Nairn or Inverness.

The owners were extremely helpful and friendly by email and in person.
I have already asked to book the accommodation for 2013 so I imagine that's the best recommendation I can give.

Room Tip: I actually asked the owners to recommend an apartment and chose one by their recommendation and the...
