“Lovely relaxing stay”
Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here when some friends were getting married close by. Our room was great, very spacious, with a lovely bathroom. The setting is amazing, quite remote but close enough to some lovely coastal towns. Breakfast is yummy and Alex is a brilliant host.
We will definitely go back and Alex has some big plans for future developments, although the place is already great.

My husband and I have just returned from a three night stay at Alex Factory. We stayed in Le pigonnier which is upstairs with wonderful beams. Lovely big bed, great bathroom although no shower but a huge bath. It was bitterly cold when we stayed but the room was lovely and warm. We had breakfast in the room downstairs with a lovely open fire going everyday. Alexis was so hospitable, cooking breakfast for us every morning (and yes the boiled eggs were fantastic, really fresh from his own hens) fab fresh bread cooked in a traditional bread oven which Alexis collected every morning and jams made by his mother. He also had cheeses made by his brothers. He recommended a restaurant in Wimereux called Le Speranza very nice food, on the seafront and suggested places we could visit. It was great to have all the animals wandering around, the two donkeys, ducks, chickens and Zorro the cat!! The farm is a little bit isolated but towns with restaurants and shops within 15min drive. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

My wife and I decided to book a holiday for a short break (3 days) for us and our two children (15 and 13) in the October half-term. The morning after we arrived and checked in (with no issues at all), we were treated to a light breakfast, which was brilliant, a simple meal of fantastic local bread, cheese and jam, served in a small dining room with an open fire.

The rooms were quite modern, with simple furniture and a really nice open bathroom. It isn't one for those who want a lot of privacy, as there is only a single curtain separating the bedrooms from the bathroom! The beds were very comfortable, and we got two very good nights' sleep.

Alex, the owner, was absolutely fantastic. He gave us a few cards for local restaurants, and we went out and had a brilliant meal in a small place called 'La Petite Brocante', in Wimille. My son is in the middle of his French GCSE, and Alex spoke French to him, which I think really helped.

We asked Alex if we could stay for another night, but unfortunately, the rooms were fully booked for the day after we were due to leave, so we moved to another place about 10 miles away. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and we would all definitely choose to return.

My husband and I booked a family room to share with 2 friends. Although the facilities were excellent and the room was beautiful, there was only one bathroom (understandably). During the course of the evening one of our friends fell ill and we needed to change accommodation. Alex Factory was very understanding and kindly refunded the room charge in full although he obviously did not have to. I have since recommended Alex Factory to a number of friends and will continue to do so. This is a great place to stay! Excellent!

The place is much nicer than in the pictures. the rooms are much nicer than in 4 stars hotels. The rooms are very big (I stayed in the room called "ecury"). I was really impressed. The place has a modern morrocan style and then very colourful. The breakfast is top quality and all natural products! Alex is very welcoming and friendly, He arranged a room for me as I arrived at around 2am and I was all sastisfied.

I will definitively go back there and I recomment this place if you are looking for serenity in the nice countryside.

Room Tip: Ecurie room: a double bed and 2 others beds in a separate room.

This is my first ever review feedback on a website about any place we have stayed. My wife and my two children went on a holiday to Northern France and by chance we discovered this amazing farm house that's so friendly and so safe for young children. Car parking excellent, rooms are massive great space and the children sleep at the other side of the bathroom so we could have some much needed privacy but they also had their space that made them feel so grown up. They could walk around the farm yard and feed chickens, ducks, horses, little sheep and two donkeys ! We could sit on the grass and watch them play. For food there is some local restraunts about a mile away and Alex dropped us all off and the owner brought us back ! You don't get that in England. But breakfast on the terrace eating the eggs from the farm yard chickens will stay in the children's memory for ages best 5 days as a family we have had and will return at half term just booked with Alex now. I just wanted to let everyone know not just how good Trip Advisor is to find the right place but let everyone know they should come and see for yourself.

We all know that France has so much to offer families the food the weather the people. But what Alex has manger to create is some thing very special. Whether you just want to escape England or if you want to discover France Alex has it all covered. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and shown to our very large rooms. Not just one room but three with excellent facilities. Large bath walk in shower to rival any and separate toilet a must with a family. The farm yard is open and looks onto amazing countryside with local walks in this amazing countryside plenty. We had dinner on the terrace a Fruit de Mer outstanding with some lovely sourced white wine and finished of with locally sourced cheese very romantic watching the sun go down. The beds are very comfortable and a great night sleep had by all. Breakfast the next day again on the terrace we brilliant great selection and a perfect start for the day. This place slowed me right down allowed me to relax. My only hope not to many people discover this place and it remains a hidden jewel.
