I stayed at the Ibis Hotel Taubaté for one night - and to be fair the standard was the same as Ibis Hotels the world over - the room design would be more-or-less the same in Timbuktu and Taubaté - but importantly clean and functional.
Being a non-smoker I was a little disappointed to be given a room on the smoking floor, however this was due to a booking error and was not the fault of the hotel.
As is usual with Ibis Hotels they normally try to have some themed weeks throughout the year - and visiting just after Oktoberfest it was International Beer Festival week in Taubaté which made the drinks selection more interesting than usual.
Overall good value for money - but by now everybody expects free Wi-fi everywhere and it is disappointing not to get it.
