Wonderful cottage set in a quiet Norfolk village. Everything you could need ready and waiting including the milk, scones, jam and cream! Our hosts Jackie and John and not forgetting Rosie the dog, welcoming and always on hand for a chat or to make suggestions for days out. Walks down to the river to watch the swans, kingfishers and owls - absolutely beautiful. Having breakfast outside and sharing it with the blackbirds! Plenty to see and do if you want to have days out but just sitting down at the river is wonderful. The perfect holiday for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. We are already planning our next visit.

Just returned from 2 week family holiday. Beautiful cottage with large garden/woodland that our 9 and 12 year olds loved. John and Jackie are exceptional hosts with great knowledge of the area. Many Thanks

“Perfect could not fault, other than we should have stayed longer.”

A very joyful stay. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. We have never stayed in a traditional beamed cottage before so that was an added bonus for us (the wife and two teenage daughters).Jackie and John made us welcome from the second we arrived. We all especially enjoyed their very large garden complete with its very own section of river. For us the icing on the cake was the wildlife which included daily visits by several groups of swans, hedgehogs, squirrels and a variety of birds including kingfishers. And the local pub ("The Kings Head") is only a couple of minutes walk away which serves great food and bake their own bread which you can buy to take home.

“Just what we needed”

Very comfortable and cosy period cottage, but with all mod cons which made our stay as relaxed as possible. Lovely setting and surroundings, great walks, and our hosts John and Jackie were super.
Excellent pub within 200 yards. Lovely woodland walk in the grounds. Check out the happy baby picture in the bedroom - kept us laughing all week!

Fantastic cottage and location, fishing on river was a bonus and the garden is awesome. Fantastic couple, friendly, helpful, and great with the kids. So much to do, a week just isn't long enough. A very special place indeed.
