Hello Christinerubini,
Thank you for your review of Sea Club IV Resort. I am sorry that you were a bit taken back because your child was not able to eat a popsicle in the pool. As you may know, Sea Club IV Resort is an association made up of over 1,800 owners. Sea Club IV is required to follow Florida Statue 721, which pertains to Timeshare. We are also required to follow Florida State Administrative Codes, specifically Chapter 64E-4 which states the following. Food and Drink are prohibited in the pool and on the pool wet deck area. If there is any type of spillage into the pool, we are required to shut the pool down and give the pool a very heavy dose of chlorine to help rebalance the chemicals in the water, thus inconveniencing others from entering the pool until the chemical balance is back under control.
Regarding your mentioning of your child having a round floatie in the adult pool. It is in your Rules and Regulations that No Flotation Devices are allowed in the adult pool other than noodles. Your child was more than welcome to use the floatie in the kiddie pool .We do not have a life guard on duty and with the most recent potential drowning of a child at a resort up the street from us makes us more concern about children entering the Adult Pool and due to the fact that some adults do not watch over their children that in the Adult Pool while the adult might be smoking, facetiming etc. while their child is not being watched over. Again, as General Manager, I appreciated that my Front Desk did their job as required and I am very sorry for your not understanding the paperwork that you or a family member signed when they arrive for their vacation . With respects to “if the kids like Netflix etc. there aren’t any smart TV’s, is a bit misleading . We have been replacing our current Flat Screen TV’s with Smart 40-43-inch TV’s. However, they are not in all units as we do not want to get rid of perfectly working TV’s. We are replacing those that non-smart TV’s with Smart TV’s as needed. Again, I am sorry for your encounter and hope that what our Front Desk takes their responsibilities very seriously. We hope you understand and appreciate your comments.
