Beautiful new facility. The location isn't great if you want DC access since there's no Metro here, but it is wonderful if you're attending a conference at the next door Gaylord Conference Center.

Staff is wonderful, friendly, and welcoming. They all went beyond the usual "Good Morning" and showed honest interest and warmth. Breakfast was above average for included breakfasts at this level hotel. The buffet was clean, well maintained during the morning, and was served in a pleasant and comfortable area.

Rooms were well appointed with bright lights at the desk and bedside. The only downside of the hotel, however, is a noisy HVAC system. The system cycles to maintain temperature, turning on and off as needed. The fan comes on with a bang, then continues with a loud hum sufficient to awaken everyone. Similarly, no one specified that the bathroom fan should be quiet. It too is ridiculously noisy. Worse, the fan is connected to the light switch so you can't have the bathroom light on without the exhaust fan blasting away. The bathroom door in my unit didn't fit within its frame so wouldn't close. Note that my unit had only a shower stall and no tub. I prefer this, but some may not.

I stayed at the Hampton while attending a Conferenece at the Gaylord. It is just across the street. It is a new hotel (like all of the hotels in the area) and it shows. The staff was great, offering all the advise you need to move around the area. Rooms are sparkling and the morning (free) breakfast is not you typical cold moffin and coffee stuff. I used the gym and it was amazingly well kept. Why pay $400 for a room at the Convention Center when you can get the best deal in this budget but excellent hotel?

Staying here right now for 3 days attending a conference at the Gaylord. Great checkin process with Toronda. Nice rooms, good bed, great breakfast. Much lower rates than Gaylord which is right across the road. Would certainly recommend this hotel. Room on the 11th Floor which has a great seating area out by the elevator with 2 huge sofas and 4 large chairs. Like your own personal living room. Very nice touch.

I just returned from 3 nights at the Hampton Inn National Harbor and there's no doubt I was bitten by bedbugs while there. I noticed a few bites the first morning, but thought it might be mosquitoes from the warm October evening the night before. The next morning I had a few more bites. By the third morning there was no doubt I was being attacked by bedbugs.

I saw on TripAdvisor at least one nearby hotel has had bedbug issues, so this is not the first time bedbugs have infested an Oxen Hill hotel.

It's a shame since on the surface the hotel is spotless, the staff is wonderful and it's a great value compared to the Gaylord Plaza directly across the street. I've notified the hotel and Hilton of my experience.

I felt at home here. The hotel was not huge, and I got to know almost all of the workers within a week's stay. They all became like friends. We loved the complimentary breakfast also. I would definitely stay here again.
