When I heard it was a 700m+ walk up and over rocky, hilly terrain I wasn't too keen knowing we had 3 children aged 12, 10 and 5. I wasn't looking forward to the whinging and whining. But I was pleasantly surprised when I heard none. The trek from the carpark to the sign wasn't that bad. We took the dog and a fishing rod. We paced ourselves and let the kids have a break when they needed. The views were amazing. It's amazing how one little sign can cause so much hype.... we were lucky there weren't too many people there that day. It's definitely a tick off the bucket list. Make sure you wear decent shoes. It's definitely not something you would do in thongs.

They picked us up 15 minutes late and once on board that was forgotten in the memories of informatin and scenery we were shown. Local knowledge and items of history rolled from their tongues. And when they were not feeding us information they attended to our culinary needs" over an open fire. Highly organised and well thought out iitenerary and menu. Two very capable leaders in Dee and Geoff. Magic time around camp fire for tea and after. Sad to finish today hope our lives cross again in future. Offered assistance at all times even when Yellow said he would not do ups

The trip of a lifetime - and so amazing we will be returning. To walk that last 500 metres from the car park to the actual tip was a proud moment. We walked over the hills which afforded fantastic views of the coastline, and returned to our vehicle along the beach (low tide). Wear proper shoes as it's quite rocky if you choose to climb up the hill, and of course take your camera. There's always someone there to take your pic standing by the sign stating you're at the Northern most tip of mainland Australia.

Wonderful journey from Cairns to the tip of Cape York with Oz Tours. After eight days of exploring on the way north we reached the tip. Amazing to stand on the northernmost point of Australia. A ferry ride to Thursday and Horn islands let all get a feel for the islands lying north of Australia. A enjoyable, well organised tour.
