My husband and I were actually looking for another restaurant which had unfortunately gone out of business since our last visit. We were hungry and it was getting later and Goodfellows was nearby. Horrible mistake. Spent $100 on a so-so meal that we could have gotten elsewhere for far less money. We were still hungry when we left! The Crab bread was mostly melted cheddar on bread, couldn't even taste the crab. I had the Crab Imperial and it tasted more like mayonnaise than crab. Plus some of the the worst karoke I have ever heard in the background.

The atmosphere is nice and the bar is a big draw , but the food is only fair at it's best and the prices are quite steep. You can definately find a better meal at a cheaper price when you are in Abesecon.

I have eaten at W. L. Goodfellows several times and was disappointed with my recent visit. Our waiter was not attentive. It took much longer than usual to receive our dinner. The food was overpriced. Some of the portions were small but, overall, the quality of food was good. Also, they charge for soda refills. I can no longer recommend this restaurant.

stopped in for a late night dinner. food and dinner staff were great, 1 of the bartenders not so great. Very nasty! Talked to manager, but that was useless, then he did come around apologize. Would go back for the food, but will not stay in bar area again!!!

Stopped in for a snack. This place has been here since the 80s and we stopped in to see what was new. Not much. Apparently.

Decor has barely changed. Crowd at bar has gotten... older. A lot older. Probably due to bad Karaoke. Since when does Karaoke require the help of a live guitarist? Weird.

It was about 8:,30 on a Wednesday. Restaurant not very busy - but still waited 20 min for a table.. Then about 15 more for beverages. We ordered wings. Tried to order the wontons - but they were out - so got the Thai Chile Shrimp - which was just mostly salty and sat on top of stale, from the can "chow mein noodles." Yuk.

Wings were supposed to be spicy BBQ. Just mostly spicy. Sad. Did not bother with dessert. Could not wait to leave. Seems like this place is another example of a restaurant relying on location and past reputation to keep them going.

That only usually works for a short duration - and I can say with confidence that we would never go back - for the sake of curiosity or any other reason.
