“Well run, lovely little railway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

Lovely place with beautiful trains and a good service. A great shop and cafe in Aylsham (open to anyone, not just train users). The shop in Wroxham is also pretty good and it is only a 5 minute walk into Wroxham itself.

“halloween half term fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

We took our 3 year old on the railway at half term and there was a special spooky themed train. We did the route from Wroxham to Aylsham return and it was fun spotting the spooky things along the line from the train. It was a bit wet outside, but the train kept us nice and dry. The carriages are quite dinky and the train filled up quickly. We hoped for enough time in Aylsham to eat lunch, but we ended up taking our lunch on the return train to eat it otherwise we would have had a 3 hour wait til the next train. They weren't running the full service at the weekend and it was very busy! It did make the return journey very entertaining eating onboard! Luckily the childrens hot food came in a little box so it was easy to take it out of the restuarant with us! All the children got a halloween balloon, and despite lots bursting in the cafe and shop, we were allowed a new one (apparently the carpet was to blame). All in all a great day out!

“Excellent combined with a walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

We used to go on this years ago when our children were young and did the santa specials which are still popular. We did it again in April 2012 but from a different perspective. We parked at the Aylsham station and walked the 8 or so moles on the track which runs by the railway to wroxham where we stopped off for luch prior to catching the train back. For adults withour kids this was a great day out
