“Irish food cooked to perfection”
Reviewed August 29, 2011

On a recent visit to Hanoras cottage with my wife we enjoyed a meal of pure bliss. On arrival we were welcomed to the living room for pre dinner drinks where we read the menu in comfort by the fire. Having eventually decided from the extensive offereing our order was taken by a friendly staff member. We sat and finished our drinks in the comfort of the sofa whilst enjoying the views of the river and gardens outside.

In the restaurant we enjoyed a fabulous meal with complimentary appitiser of parsnip and honey soup. Our table by the bay window offered lovely views of the river as it flowed under the arched bridge nearby.

In our opinion Hanoras Cottage a family run guesthouse displays all that is good in Irish Tourism and Hospitality.
Next time we will definitely make it an overnight visit. Put Hanora's on your list of places to go.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here and loved it. Mary Wall welcomed us and provided tea and muffins on arrival. Our room was big comfortable and quiet. Mary arranged for us to play golf in Clonmel and Dungarven and generally provided us with local information and directions.Breakfast was the best we have ever had and the homemade breads and jams alone would bring us back.Dinner was excellent on both nights and unhurried.Great venue for a get away from it all break or for some friends to get together for walks or golf.

Nothing was too much for the people at Hanora's Cottage, everybody made sure all of our needs were met, whether it was special wheat free bread and cakes or directions for touring or walking!
Exceptionally comfortable throughout and unhurried service (even when we lingered over our breakfast).
Would love to go back again when next we are in Ireland

My wife and I stayed one night at Hanora's Cottage which was much too short. A warm welcome from Mary Wall led to a large comfortable room with Jacuzzi bath to sooth aching limbs. Dinner and wine were superb. Breakfast was the best we have had. We walked off the calories in the mountains at the doorstep. We'll be back and are recommending it to friends.

Get a satnav first of all- locale is remote! When you get there, be assured of a warm welcome - we had coffee, smoked salmon blinis and chocolate cookies on arrival. Room fantastic - but problems with local water supply meant a wait while we were transferred to another room to enjoy the double jacuzzi!!!!

First evening meal was excellent although my steak was dry and tasteless - everything else very high quality although the service was a little slow.

First breakfast was mega and varied - black pudding to die for ( god I hate that phrase!) loads of fruit, homemade breads and traditional cooked breakfast. On arrival from day out on second day - welcomed with hot toddy, damson gin and plate of cheeses.Second meal again excellent with good value wine.

Second night ( New Years Eve ) bed was soooo comfortable we retired at 9.30

In all a one off which we will do again - if that makes sense!!!

In all very enjoyable

A group of ten of us booked into Hanora's Cottage. It was a haven in the dark wet windy night, when we arrived. and we were welcomed by a warm fire, tea & some home baking. For our days on the hills, we were set off with a fantastic breakfast of fabulous porridge, multiple fresh fruits, cheeses along with the Irish breakfast. Packed lunches & gourmet dinner meals. THe rooms were warm, well designed. The boiler house another well used area for all our wet gear. Recommended stay when exploring the Comeragh Mountains
