The Museum has a good variety of trains in it and the trip is is quite long and interesting. kept a teenager occupied for a couple of hours. But go on a Sunday if you want to go on a steam train. Well worth a visit.

This is a must for any family with a 2 year old train lover like we have. Also a lovely time for the rest of the family with great views of the countryside

This is a great way of seeing the Baie, birds and scenery. Lovely way to spend a day, with a meal in Le Crotoy for lunch.

Taking a train from St Crotoy to St Valery sur Somme is possibly the best preserved railway trip I have made (I have made quite a few over the years, as my long suffering family will attest to!). To take a train through glorious scenery and not have to worry about driving is a welcome change. The stop at Noyelles sur Mer allows for a two train simulataneous departure - which apparently is unique in France.
Arrival at the very picturesque St Valery and to be deposited adjacent to the town itself is brilliant - a nice change from most preserved railways which at best go from somewhere to nowhere!
Highly recommended!!!
All the staff met were courteous and friendly.

We took the train from Cayeux-Sur-Mer at 10.30, changed at St Valery and went onto Le Crotoy. This gave us time to have a reasonably leisurely lunch (all lunches are leisurely with our 3.5yo) and a stroll along the seafront before a walk back to the train, an hour back to St Valery, wander through the town (and some excellent ice cream) before returning to Cayeux-Sur-Mer to our apartment. We could've chosen to spend more time in Le Crotoy rather than St Valery, so there is a little flexibility in the time table. Their website has good information.

Other reviewers said there were no facilities at the stations. There were toilets at all three stations en route and a gift shop. At St Valery, it was about 150yds along the boardwalk to a cafè, and I'll admit a bit further than that at Le Crotoy. It was helpful to know that there was going to be a bit of walking to get to tea or coffee. We had a pushchair and the pavements in Le Crotoy were appalling.

My husband inadvertently purchased 3 tickets rather than 2, but the ticket inspector noticed this and signed on the ticket that we were due a refund. The lovely people at St Valery happily refunded the extra ticket price.
