I visited cranage hall as part of a joy swift murder weekend. I can't fault a thing, the food was absolutely gorgeous, staff friendly and attentive, lovely settings and quiet, clean rooms! I have no doubt in recommending this hotel!

I typically use Cranage Hall for organising off-site business venues. From a conference perspective, the services are good and efficient. The food is what you would expect - a decent variety with hot and cold selections. The gym is also decent - several treadmills and aerobic machines and a small set of free weights. The rooms are a bit tired and in need of updating but they are clean and well-serviced. The grounds are also very nice - spacious and green that provide a nice view from the property.

stayed for 5 days in this hotel as part of an intensive meeting. the front is very nice, the bit that appears in the brochures. most of the hotel is much more modern and not quite so nice to look at.

rooms were okay. a little noisy.

the place was full of meetings for the whole time we were there. i dont think this is a place many people stay for a holiday.

all was fine. there was nothing too remarkable.

This is a slightly difficult hotel review as I was there at a work conference and from that perspective it was fantastic ticked every box. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was a standard above what I expected from a conference. Food is obviously freshly prepared with pride not just slapped on the plate like many conferences. I was in a newly decorated room which was comfortable and pleasant. The bad part now is am afraid it can be very busy with corporate conferences etc and anyone there on a couples break might find it difficult. Also sometimes it was difficult to find a member of staff in the downstairs bar area in the daytime. Overall though well worth a visit. I would like to spend a weekend with my partner but not sure I'd do it if they had a conference on.

Organised a conference for around 60 people and they couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Rooms are fairly standard conference far but the old part of the building is very attractive and there's an excellent pool/gym residents can use too.

Food was 'average' and a very interesting Cheshire themed menu which included that great north western standby Feta cheese. Actually quite a few ingredients didn't strike me as authentic Cheshire...

Rooms are very nice - againarbusiness - but a good standard!

But overall we had a very good event and I'd recommend Richard, Michelle and the team for anyone looking to get their people away.

Room Tip: They have a number of 'executrive' rooms for VIP's / organisers

Thanks for taking the time to write this lovely review. I am really pleased you chose Cranage Hall for your recent event and I can actually remember serving you on the night. I think a little education for chef is required to understand where the boundaries of Cheshire start and finish although overall I can see you had a good time and have recommend us to others. Hopefully we will see you back at Cranage Hall soon.

best bits are the reception area, staff (very pleasant and helpful) and location. Excellent breakfast. However, if you need coffee go to the machines - they stuff served in flasks was rather unpleasant. We were staying in the newer wing, approached through the maze of corrirdors in the hotel or via the car park, which isn't advisable when it's icy. The new wing has the air of a travelodge - very sparsely decorated and with little character - walls terribly thin so I could hear people talking in the next room. Talking of next room - if you were in 147 or 151 I do apologise about my snoring. Limited choice of TV stations. Small bathroom but a lot of wasted space in the bedroom. cracked tiles and tired decor. It was clean, however. Showers took a long time to warm up which is odd because the basin tap went from cold to scalding instantaneously. Staff can't be faulted, food good.

Thanks for the review and the great feedback on our staff. As for the poor TV selection I am disappointed you find 18 channels which include a full sky sports package not sufficient “it’s more than I have at home”. I would also like to reassure you that maintenance team has been to 149 to investigate the heating and made the necessary repairs which I would like to apologise for. Hopefully if you were thinking of staying in the area again you would consider Cranage Hall even if it was not for a conference as we pride our self on excellent customer service for EVERYONE.
