Iv'e been in Shoreline for the hole month of November for an Ayurvedic course. What to say,the home stay and rooms are cleen and quiet and the beach also is huge and empty.Gets crouded a bit more in the evening by families and friends to see the marvulous sunsets. You really feel peace and immerse in the nature with cocounut pams beach ,birds...It also is near to the center if you get a autorischo you get there in 10 minuts(traffic included).Raju is a wonderfull cook and Krisna, always ready to help you if any need. They booth are soo soo sweet.
Defenetly would go back!

Four of us stayed at Shoreline Beach Resort for 2 nights in the month of June. We traveled to 3 different different towns in Kerala and lived in 4 different resorts. It would be understating it to say that Shoreline Beach Resort spoiled us silly that we thought every other resort was fine to horrible compared to Shoreline Beach Resorts. The owner Mr.Renith is a gentleman. He lives in Kannur town but he comes by everyday to make sure his guests are comfortable, brings in fresh fish and meat daily, discussed with us our trip and gave advice on where to go in Kannur and Kerala, he even dropped us in the town in his car when we planned to go out. His presence was just wonderful.

I have to mention this, we booked cottages in off-season but Mr.Renith offered to open the resort for us during off season although their property and almost every other property is closed during off-season. He even let us stay in the standard rooms in the first floor instead of the cottages, which are cheaper and we only paid the rent for the cottages. Another thing is, we originally booked the rooms for 3 nights but one of our friends wanted to go to Thrissur, so we left a day early. Mr.Renith was very gracious and did not complain about the extra night, he only took money for 2 nights. I dont know if any other hosts will be as gracious as him.

The rooms were kept very clean and the real gem of the place is Ms.Lakshmi, she always had a smile on her face and cooked the most delicious food we ate in Kerala. As soon as we reached the resort, we were served breakfast and then, we all jumped in the ocean which was just a few steps away. The location of the resort is just perfect. It has the ocean on the front, the backwaters in the back. If you are looking for a place to watch TV and stay in your room all day, maybe this is not the place for you since there are really strong winds which would affect the tv network but seriously, we never had the time to turn on the TV. Even when it was raining, we just stayed by the balcony and looked at the beautiful view before us. I absolutely loved Kannur and Shoreline Resorts is just amazing.

Someone said the caretaker showed discrimination to Indians which I just can't believe. He was a nice little man who would push us to eat our food with good humor. We all were Indians but we did not see anything but friendliness and good service from him.

The beach was almost empty in offseason, so we had the whole beach to ourselves. We paid Rs.1500 in offseason, for that we got clean rooms with clean bed sheets and towels, more food we can eat which included fresh fish/meat, another vegetarian curry, rice/roti and fresh fruit. The pictures say it all. I was quite worried about the quality of food but it was hygienic and delicious. There are a million more nice things about the resort which I know I am missing here. I wish I can write more words about this wonderful place but I will just say this again, staying at this resort spoiled us so much that we kept talking about how we miss the food and the place for the rest of our trip in Kerala. Thank you Shoreline for the beautiful memories.

Room Tip: We loved the standard rooms on the first floor the best. Cottages looked nice too from outside.

At the beginning of March, my daughter and I stayed here for 4 days. We had great rooms in the villa, with a large shady verandah overlooking the Arabian Sea. The beach is pristine, truly tropical and largely deserted. At the back of the property is a creek, along which one can wander and observe the amazing wildlife. We were very well looked after during our stay by friendly staff who could not do enough for us. I am allergic to seafood and shellfish, although my daughter loves both, and they catered for this with great care and kindnes, producing delicious food at every meal. I cannot speak highly enough of Renith, our host, who really took care of us, making sure we had everything we needed. He organised trips and excursions for us, making all the arrangements, even taking us to the station and making sure we got on the right coach. A wonderful place to stay and one which I highly recommend

Room Tip: All the rooms are great in this property

The Shoreline is a great place to lay back and relax. The beach directly in front of Shoreline is essentially empty. This is a rarity in India so go and enjoy getting away from the crowds! The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the food is very good. There are not any restaurants on the beach so they provid all meals. Breakfast is very simple with eggs and toast, which is nice because there is a large lunch and dinner. From the balcony you can see dolphins jumping in the water. The owner came during lunch and dinner to ensure everything was ok. He was very helpful with booking trains and tours around Kannur. They provide pick up and drop off to the train station free of charge. Overall the experience was very positive! We stayed in one of the 3 rooms in the house and there is also small bungalows behind the house.

We stayed here over New Year & found it to be one of the best places that we've found whilst travelling around Kerala. Clean, large rooms with the kindest, most generous soul Hamza & his team looking after us. We were truely treated to the warmest hospitality. We both agree that Hamzas mussel Marsala was our favorite dish of the whole trip.
Renith, the owner was really helpful with our transport plans & held a brilliant New Years party for family, friends & guests. The beach right opposite Shoreline was great for swimming, there's also another beautiful near deserted beach 15 mins walk away. We'll most definately return on our next visit to India. I couldn't recommend Shoreline highly enough for value for money.
