My husband and I recently stayed at the Eco BB in Venice. We took a belated honeymoon and wanted to spend it in the romantic city of Venice. We could not have made a better decision! The owners, Luciana and Attilio, went out of their way to make us feel at home. We were received with a nice rose bouquet and prosecco, what a great way to start our honeymoon!

The size of our room was perfect, and it was always kept clean. The location of the inn is great for those who want to stay away from the crowds and enjoy a different side of Venice. Transportation is not a problem, as the bus stops right in front of the inn. You can even save some money by buying groceries in the nearby supermarket and cooking in the nice kitchenette. We elected to have breakfast outside in the balcony which has a nice view of Favaro Veneto.

This is a great value-for-money bed and breakfast and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in Venice!!!

Modern, but small unit with all the amenities that we needed. Even though the room was small, it was very efficiently designed. Shower was also small but had middle body jets which really helped. Nice, quiet area outside of Venice. We used our car to drive to Venice and then parked at the entrance. Free Wi-Fi and parking which is always appreciated.

Room Tip: If there are more than 2 travellers, check to make sure that the room is large enough.

The rooms were as they look in the pictures, and as described by other people. Modern, Danish, IKEA fashion. They are fine for 2 people, although a little cramped.

However, we were 3 people. The sofa bed was the worst I have ever seen. The "mattress" was so soft that we tried putting it on the floor on it's own, and when we lay on that we hit the floor. I.E. Non-existent. In the end we slept on the sofa directly. Note that the sofa bed is also directly under the A/C, so when the A/C comes on you get woken up very quickly!

The rooms are also not sound-proofed. Traffic noise wasn't too bad, but we heard everything our neighbours did, and sadly, they were quite noisy!

The shower area is triangular shaped & the door opens inwards.... my wife and I are luckily quite slender, but anyone with a bit of a pouch may have problems getting in.

As someone else mentioned, the breakfast is non-existent. Prepare to bring your own. They consist of pre-packaged toast slices with jam and nutella, milk, and non-flavoured yoghurt.

Sorry to be so negative. As I said, for 2 people with quiet neighbors it's probably fine. Certainly cheaper than anywhere in Venice, and the bus does stop right outside the door!

Gentile Beken,
First of all I thank you for the review but we believe it is necessary to clarify what you write:
We do not remember when you came, however you should know that:
1 - the noise between rooms is regulated by the Italian law that imposes a noise despondency at least 55 db and 60 db between the rooms from the outside. This was measured in our home by the inspection and corresponds.
2 - The furniture was purchased by Veneta-Cucine and Doimo-italian style, among the best Italian factories which export all over the world, the bathroom are ideal-standard and Linea-ceramica these well known. We bought from IKEA only some blankets and lamps and mirror.
3 - If neighboring guests were rude enough advise the property that gracefully invited them to silence, as we have done it before.
4 - As for the shower: ensure that it is the first time we receive this complaint and keep in mind, even if they stayed more people of various tonnage from 10 to over 100 kg.
5 - Breakfast: we offer apartments or studios, it is not mandatory offer breakfast, we do it for free and only to improve our offer. Recall that the law of Veneto region does not allow the preparation of fresh food but only packaged.
6 - Air conditioning and sofa bed: even here if you did not like it we could improve if we had known ..
7 - The room measures 30 square meters, the minimum allowed is 14 square meters!
We did this Suites with great care and this can be seen by more than 800 comments on the web (other than those of Tripadvisor). We believe that it would be proper to inquire before discredit those who work closely as we do, invest your money and we work with passion. Unfortunately this tool in the hands of the guests is a great weapon and can not do much against it. It's up to you dear guest, and evaluate intelligence and consistency with our work. In any case, as always, we respect your opinion even if we do not agree.
Have a nice day

Really enjoyed staying in this little apartment across the causeway from the old city of Venice. It did take about 20 minutes to get into the centre by bus, but we didn't mind, the buses were frequent and stopped outside the house. Plus the benefits of a quiet, reasonably priced location outweighed being in the ancient centre. The accommodation was modern and spotless with efficient air con. Plus it had a kitchen area which meant we could prepare our own food in the evening if desired, in addition to breakfast being provided. The owners were on site, very friendly and helpful! Would definitely return!

A fantastic place to stay. This was our last stop on our Italy trip, Venice, and we picked this apt for our stay.

The owner showed us to our apt, showed us how everything worked and then brought is 2 bottles of wine. Wow. It had air conditioning food water what you would expect from a great B and B.

We were on a direct bus route to go to old Venice, so the car was parked in our gated parking area. The apt is great for 2 people, no more, unless you have small children it would work for you as the couch pulls out to a bed.

The owner cleaned everyday including bedding and towels and re-stalked the fridge etc.

If you want to go out there are restaurants just down the street. There is a pizza place that states that it has award winning pizza's, avoid it, the pizza is expensive and not very good at all.

I highly recommend this B & B for anyone travelling to Venice.

cheers

Me and my little brother just came back from Venice and at first it was great. However, when I woke up on the 2nd and 3rd nights, I had more and more bug bites on my arms, hands, and ankles. At first glance, it is clean, but in reality I'm not too sure about it after discovering these bugbites.
Breakfast is very bland compared to the other hotels that we've been to in Italy.
Location is approximately 25-30 minutes and not really 15 minutes.

Just be careful for bed bugs.

We receive this rather bizarre review, in compliance of the policy recommended by Tripadvisor, we send a response that allows us to clarify our democratic point of view. We have not received any complaints like that from any of our guests. Is likely that infection complains the brother of our customer has arisen after the stay in our hotel. It could also be a food poisoning due to some food eaten in a restaurant or other reasons. The insects in our area are now rare summer mosquitoes also because the common undergoing disinfection throughout the area several times each year. This customer stated that he came to the end of December, that in our area there are temperatures of - 8 ° C, so it is very cold and the mosquitoes there can be. For other types of animals have occurred in all the rooms and there is no trace, we also monitored with 40 other people who arrived in the following days and there has not been any complaints. We do not understand who is this customer because is anonymous but it is also possible that he has inserted review on the wrong structure. We will have the pleasure of receiving a private comment to this also to better check and take precautions to protect all our customers. We believe that is the only way to be usefull review otherwise does not explain why in a new facility with all positive reviews this problem has happened. Thank you for your attention. Luciana

We arrived at Venice for our honeymoon. The owner was so thoughtful - prepared a bouquet of flowers to congratulate us! The b&b is clean and modern. With the cooking facilities available, we were able to cook simple meals for ourselves as well.
It was very convenient to the bus stops and trams to head to Venice. But it would take about 20-30 mins to reach Venice. and waiting for bus from Venice to here would take abit of time.
This is a Lovely place to stay. Would definitely come back here if given a chance.
