“A gem of a hotel”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

When our cruise ship was delayed arriving back in Venice, we found ourselves, like many hundreds of others on the ship, having missed our flights and in need of overnight accomodation. We called our friends to help us and after some hours finding most places were booked out, called to tell us they have found us 2 rooms (2 couples) at this hotel. The rate was very reasonable so I must admit we we were a little dubious regarding the standard of the hotel but at that time had no choice so we confirmed and then embarked on pursuit of hijacking a taxi amongst the hundreds of others trying to do the same at the cruise terminal. We managed to do so (getting our luggage into the trunk first seals the deal apparently) and off we went. A 10 minute / 45 Euro (!!) trip later and we were there. Our appreciation for this gem of a hotel started from that point. The rooms and hotel were cosy but spacious. It apparently it not an old hotel and the modern look showed this. It is obvious the onwer of the hotel had a good designer with attention to detail when it was built. We went to our rooms top drop off our baggage and then went off for food. The hotel has a shuttle bus and dropped us off at a local restaurant and then collected us when we ere done. The main detraction for most folks would be that it is outside Venice and your feel you are in the country side - however they are happy to drop you at the airport close by - where you can get an inexpensive bus to Venice island. As we couldnty get flights the next day we endend up staying 2 nights and again went to the lovely family owned restuarant close by for dinner. A gem of a hotel and excellent value and service.

We only stayed two nights in October and wish it was more. Lovely hotel, warm and welcoming staff and restaurant food was very good. We only had breakfast as we were busy touring but much better than the typical included breakfast. We got in on a late flight and after a call to Roberto which got disconnected before we finished, we went to the area for the shuttle and Roberto was waiting for us with a sign.
They provide a free shuttle to and from the airport and to a bus stop that takes you to Venice. It worked perfectly. The hotel set up a shuttle for us to the cruise port and even had the shuttle pick up my sister and brother in law staying at a hotel near us. The only problem we had was not having a cell phone and trying to use public phones was a problem all over Europe.
The hotel grounds are lovely. You feel like you are in the countryside. The rooms are so huge with hard wood flooring and very modern. Our only complain is that we didn't stayed longer! Thank you to all the staff for a fantastic hotel stay.

Room Tip: Stay here it's fantastic!

This hotel is brand new with a great design. It is located very close to the airport and offers free airport shuttle. We stayed there on a Sunday, the night before we flew out of Venice. Most restaurants were closed but the hotel offered to shuttle us to and from a nearby restaurant that was open, which was a very nice perk! Rooms were clean and spacious and the bathrooms were fun with colored lights in the shower (my kids and husband loved this). Kids loved the free chocolates as well. The breakfast was excellent with many choices and high quality. Staff was friendly and courteous and the manager was top notch (he drove us to the airport the next morning and he was very friendly). I would not stay here if I was wanting to see Venice, as I think it is a little out of the way from walkable restaurants, etc. However, for the airport there is not a better, more cozy or friendly location! Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at this lovely hotel/inn for one night in October/2012. It is absolutely beautiful! From the marble floors to the well-designed bath, to the super bed-it could not be better.

Mr. Roberto, the owner, is incredibly accomadating. You want to take your rental car to the airport early and need a pick up-no problem. You want to go out to eat and need a ride-no
problem. He does it all!

We would definitely return!

Beautiful new hotel and great service! The family that owns this hotel and restaurant are just wonderful and so accommodating. I stayed here with my two young children and they provided his with all of our needs. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the cappuccinos excellent:). There is a free shuttle that picks you up from the airport which is like 5- 10 minutes away. Then the shuttle can also take you to the bus stop that brings you into Venice which is about a 30 minute bus ride. They even shuttle us to the local supermarket to buy our girls milk. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food and service was excellent as well. Definitely recommend for families!!!

A lot of times, you'll want to stay in Venice proper. But for the other times, this is a great alternative. For us, we were flying in one night and flying out the next; we'd already done our stint on the islands, and didn't have time to go back, so something close to the airport was what we needed. Or maybe you're arriving late at night. Why pay $200-$300 for that night when you'll just go straight to sleep? Here's a chance to save money and stay in a good-sized room at a very attractive, modern, green hotel five minutes from the airport. The staff are extremely helpful. The breakfast was the best we had the whole week. The only reason you wouldn't want to stay here would be if you wanted to be on the islands, although for budget-conscious travellers, staying here and commuting in to the city for the day would be well worth it. Highly recmomended.

Ca' Beatrice is an amazingly wonderful new, small hotel set in a country setting, but only minutes from the airport and a bus into Venice. The features we enjoyed are so numerous: great and extensive breakfast, front desk that will print boarding passes, easy transportation into Venice (no charge for van to airport or bus stop and back), courtyard for relaxing, rooms with comfortable beds, climate control, great variety of TV stations, large bathroom--just goes on and on. The decor is charming: modern with high, wooden plank ceilings. We can't congratulate ourselves enough on making this our choice to stay, before our flight. Our only regret is that we didn't stay here longer. It is located in such a peaceful setting that it would be a wonderful option for anyone visiting Venice but preferring to avoid the Venice hotel prices, while having the chance to stay in a countrified setting. The bus into the city takes less than 25 minutes, and tickets (inexpensive) can be bought at the desk.
We went into Venice for the day, after checking in. In the evening we chose to eat at their restaurant, which turned out to be extraordinarily charming and filled with locals (with delicious food!); it was such a treat to have the chance to be in a non-touristy restaurant! Ca' Beatrice, thank you for such a great stay.
