This place doesn't look promising - you go up some stairs past a DVD rental store before you are in a bar, then up another flight to a beautiful attic room with plenty of windows in the roof ... But by this point it's clear you are somewhere special. The food and service are excellent and we went a couple of times. The children enjoyed the roast chicken and hand cut chips - hot, crispy, perfectly seasoned. Both the chargrilled meat (we had a large plate of young lamb chops) and fish were very well done too - good choice of steaks and local dishes. Good wine list, plus local ciders and the house red is high quality. This a proper restaurant without being formal or stuffy and several notches above some of the tourist traps in the town.
