We spent three sun drenched days kayaking and walking Abel Tasman with the guidance of Wilsons. The experience was fantastic and a must for all ages. The guides were professional and friendly, food was extremely good and the lodge accommodation well above expectations. We were able to go at our own pace and had ample time for sightseeing. Saw plenty of seals, a few penguins and fish jumping, also enjoyed the walking part of the trip with our Guide pointing out interesting flora and other features along the way. A must do if you get to this part of the world whatever your age.

We took a day long kayaking trip in Able Tasman with Wilson's. There were 3 couples plus 2 guides. The guides were very good! After a water taxi ride from Kaiteriteri to where we picked up the kayaks, the guides gave us a complete safety briefing which turned out to be very important. We kayaked for a couple hours to our lunch spot. We saw lots of seals along the way. Lunch was tasty and plenty of food. After lunch as we were heading back, we sailed - we held the 3 kayaks together and held up a square piece of cloth that acted as a sail. This kept us from getting overly tired on the way back. Unfortunately, after our sail, my husband and I capsized our kayak. It was totally my fault. The good news is because of the safety briefing, we knew what to do. The guides quickly helped us back into the kayak and we were no worse for the wear. All of our stuff in the dry bags stayed dry. Once we got back to the end point of the trip, we had a hot shower and were given the biggest cup of hot tea I have ever seen. Then it was back on the water taxi to Kaiteriteri.

This trip was wonderful and exactly what our travel agent told us it would be. Truthfully, I wish I had taken a combination kayaking and hiking trip, but my travel agent did not make us aware of that option.

Wilson's were magnificent. We booked three hours kayaking, lunch, then a boat trip to sea seals, then an hour and a half walking through the park. We were then picked up by water taxi and taken back to Kaiteriteri.
This was truly spectacular. The scenery is wonderful, the guides friendly, very informative, and great fun.
The size of the group was just right.
The picnic lunch was just lovely. A perfect day.
