“Lovely house with fabulous views.”
Reviewed May 31, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Have just come back from a weeks holiday in Driftwood, Seaton and have got to say what a wonderful holiday we all had. The garden is fully enclosed so the grand children were perfectly safe to play outside. The garden itself is beautiful, with sea view at the front and fields at the back. We saw foxes, grouse and pheasants in the garden and deer in the fields. The house was very clean and has everything you could possibly need - the kitchen was very well equipped (the best I've ever been in). Gary was very informative and rang to make sure everything was ok (nice touch). Seaton town is easily reached on foot - either along the beach front or by road. Would recommend a visit to Beer - we had breakfast on the beach and if you want a boat ride, but without the fishing, just talk to the Fishermen direct. We did a half hour trip with 3 adults and 3 children for £21 - and we had a full commentary on local history and the children were shown live crabs and lobsters! We will definitely be back!

“Perfect holiday”
Reviewed May 24, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed at Driftwood 4 in late May and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The house is perfectly situated towards the top of the hill on the Seaton to Beer road within walking distance of the shops and seafront in Seaton. The views from the front terrace towards the sea are amazing particularly on a sunny day. The house was spotlessly clean, spacious and equipped with everything necessary for a memorable holiday. We had breakfast on the terrace and lunch in the large back garden. All of us loved the G-Plan dining table and chairs from the 1960’s. Over the years we have taken holidays in may rental properties but Driftwood 4 is without doubt the very best.

“Peaceful, idyllic, and simply stunning!”

What more could you ask for..a beautiful spacious detached 4 bed property with wonderfully manicured large gardens at front and rear and views to die for!. The house although large is still comfy and homely and is tastefully decorated in neutral colours with top of the range domestic appliances and the gardens offer fantastic sea views at the front aswell as wonderful sunsets towards Beer and the west...the rear garden backs onto fields of grazing sheep..your peace ocassionally taken aback by the sight of pheasant grazing both in the front and back garden! The house has 3 bedrooms upstairs aswell as a family bathroom. 2 are large doubles with more than ample cupboard space and comfy sofas..the master with ensuite facilities , and the third bedroom is ideal for kids with twin singles. A further large bedroom is downstairs, again with twin singles and a comfy sofa. This is perfect for the elderly, the frail or disabled but also adaptable for use for two further children. The other rooms downstairs are a large luxurious sitting / dining room, fully fitted kitchen, additional bathroom , and another W.C. with vanity basin. A large flat screen TV is boosted by Sky HD and the ability to record and playback programmes from a package that far exceeds the standard Freeview fare. Many Sky channels are included, including many movie channels and Sky Sports news. A nice touch is the addition of wifi that enables you to surf the web and check your e-mails on laptop, tablet, or phone. The house is situated in a very picturesque road near Seaton Hole and is not far from the beautiful fishing village of Beer. To the east it is only 5 miles to Lyme Regis and 14 to Bridport and West Bay (where they filmed Broadchurch),,all worth a visit, and to the west it is only 7 miles to the wonderful regency seaside town of Sidmouth, 16 to Exmouth, and 21 to Exeter, well worth a visit for the cathedral and the shopping! As you can probably tell I rate this property. It is without doubt the best I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a few! I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone, although I really shouldn't have been so upbeat in the review as all you guys will want to stay here and that will reduce available slots for my re-booking next year! I'd better get in quick. The owner, Gary, is very friendly and phoned on arrival to make sure all was well and confirmed how to operate all facilities...a really nice touch. Get in and book this place while you can because word will spread. Once you stay here you won't be able to wait to come back!

“Spectacular - the house, the garden and the location.”
Reviewed August 31, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Five stars all round! A really wonderful home to stay in and from which to explore the south coast around Seaton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. There is a stunning walk from the doorstep to Beer along the South West Coast path for dinner at the Dolphin Hotel, or you can hike a little further to Branscombe, which is well worth the effort for the fantastic cliff-top views and lovely lunch in the Masons Arms. Driftwood 4 offers a really welcoming, dog-friendly home to spend a break, with beautiful gardens and great views of the sea and countryside. Thank you to Gary and Sally for being so accommodating of our requests and for making sure our stay was everything we hoped it would be.
