Went to Terrace Arts Café for the first time today for lunch. We were a group of 4 - 2 vegans and 2 non.
The service was excellent, waiter was very knowledgeable, attentive without being overbearing and very friendly. You have to wait a while for the food because it is all cooked and prepared from scratch - well worth the wait however and once you have drinks and are chatting the time flies.
We had 2 vegetarian leek and mushroom encroute, 1 vegan version and the vegan chunky lentil and sweet potato soup. All fantastic - large portions, chips were really good, the soup which I had was delicious, full of flavour and came with thick doorstop bread, the leek and mushroom dish according to my husband was very tasty with light flaky pastry and a delicious white wine sauce.
We then treated ourselves to puddings (eyes bigger than our stomachs and all that). 1 gooseberry and rhubarb vegan crumble, 2 chocolate and ginger tortes with vegan ice cream and a chocolate brownie with ice cream and thick gooey chocolate sauce. Again, big portions, all nicely presented and very tasty.
I cannot wait until I visit Seaton again so that I can go back!
