Stayed here in February, the house was a great find, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. A good base for exploring nearby Beer (nice coastal path walk) and Lyme Regis. Would definitely recommend.
This is a little late, but better than never. We stayed in this cottage for two weeks in early July, and had a great time. Gem of a find.
It was clean, warm, well facilitated and ticked the boxes we needed. We were equally lucky with the weather.
We were pretty much the second people staying here, and although there were a few teething problems, these were all sorted out double quick by Emma, the owner, and her husband. They really couldn't have done enough to make us feel more welcome, and at home.
It was also a good base for travelling around. With a three-year-old, we spent a lot of time on the beach, more at Lyme Regis, which is just 15mins up the road. Plus the cottage is well located, just five minutes walk from the town. Added bonus of a new supermarket two mins away as well.
Seaton is not the most fashionable place, but it's definitely up and coming, and with the beach and a few good eateries in town, it does the job. Plus, it is a bit more lively than other places along the coast.
There is no parking outside the place, but don't let that deter you. There are a few roads you can park down where parking is free, and Beach Road next door to the cottage is good to park until 10am (9am plus the hour's waiting).
All in all, we enjoyed our fortnight, and will be going back at some stage.
