Went to the Bluebell Inn while staying in another local place whose food was a bit expensive. The Bluebell was well worth it, both for the food and for the entertainment provided by the barman, who could have been one of the owners for all I know. He was very welcoming and entertaining. We were a party of 8 and had waited a wee bit for service. When he arrived to take our order (to a huge cheer) he immediately ordered two dishes of potato skins and dips on the house whilst he took our orders. Some of us chose from the £6 meal deal menu and some from the more expensive (but still affordable) menu. We were a complicated party because we all wanted to pay separately. It was no problem. The food was hot and tasty and well presented. There were no complaints at all. I would definitely go back there again. Even if not having a meal it seemed a warm and welcoming place to while away a few hours.
