We visited this place to check it out as its only a short way up the road from us and the special offers drew us to it.
Unfortunately the Special Deals were not available when we arrived as we were too late i think.
I was surprised to see that they close at 9pm too.
Anyway, we were seated straight away, our drinks were served, we ordered our food and that was where the experience ended.
From then, we sat and ate our food and drank our drinks, but then sat for over 45 minutes without any offer of more drinks or desserts.
We got up to leave and asked for our bill, which seemed to be a hardship and the Waitress continued chatting away with the lads at the bar while we stood waiting. Hence the 5p tip.

I think from what i hear, that getting in when the Special Menu is on is the way to go.
We may try again in a few months or so, but unless the Customer Service is improved, i cant imagine it becoming a regular occurrence.

We visited with mam and dad for lunch on 17th March 2013. We hadn't booked but were made to feel welcome with friendly and attentive service.

There was an extensive menu, all very competitively priced and our choices ranged from curried mussels to beef dinner. The mussels were fantastic (you must try them!) and the pizza and carvery choices were excellent too. The three courses for £12.95 was a snip for the quality of the food served. Drinks were a little pricey perhaps but you would drive a long way to eat this well for the overall price we paid.

We live almost 100 miles away but we'll certainly pay a return visit when next we're back in the area.

We live down the road from this place and have been meaning to give it a go for years. We saw an advert the other day and decided to try the 3 course special. Wow we weren't disappointed! I had potato skins, served with BBQ and sour cream dip, then the diavola pizza. The pizza was beautiful, lovely fresh base with beautiful flavours. My wife had minnestrone soup then vegetable pasta, again she thoroughly enjoyed it. Our son enjoyed a massive portion of hand cooked chips, margherita pizza then an ice cream. The food was really tasty and big hearty portions. The staff were friendly and attentive. The service was efficient and the restaurant is nicely decorated. Myself and my wife finished our meal with lovely coffee. All 3 of us had a drink each with the meal and the bill was £20! You would be happy with reasonable food for that price, but this was really good. I can't wait to return!!!!
